Cartomizer organization question

Hi,

I like sampling different e-juices, but I'm not into dripping.
So what I'm doing now is dedicate a carto to each bottle of juice, and store the carto and juice together in small zip-lock bags.

My poblem is that I have several of these cartos that I haven't vaped in a while. Are these still safe to vape without cleaning them? Or are there too much bacteria in there? Some of them might still be quite full, some are probably mostly empty, ... It can get a little hard to keep track of what's what.

So, how long would you store a used carto before it's time to clean? Any other organization tips would also be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have a 510-t and since my carts are disposable anyways, i just mark them with a regular sharpie to organize them :]
if u dont really care about the looks, you should just do that. put the initials or hints to what type of juice each carto is dedicated to.
for example, i have my tobacco harsh flavors in a tank labeled "T",
my fruity/ smooth flavor tank labeled 'F/S"
and my vanilla/caramel/candy type tank labeled "C"

Edit: if u DO care about the looks, perhaps some small strips of different colored electrical tape around the middle of the cartos and on your ejuice bottles that match/correspond :]

I like to keep my things organized in a tackle box, the kind people keep there fishing supplies in. I'm not sure of the availability of them in Belgium though, but they work well for organizing things regardless of what your hobbies may be.

Personally, I have two shelves with supplies (atomizers, carts, cartos, tanks, batteries, juice, chargers, etc), all organized in labeled ziplock bags. And then I have the stuff currently in use, on my desk, in a big pencil-case and also ziplocked (bottle + matching cartos).

It works relatively well, except it's hard to keep track of how many times I've refilled cartos, and how long they've been in use. So my main organization problem isn't which flavors are in which cart, but which carts should be cleaned/thrown out.

But maybe I should just stop using so many different cartos, and stick to two or three (tobacco/fruity/carmel, kind of like L33tWeazel suggested), and use something else for sampling new juices.

I am not an atty person- but I keep 1 or 2 around for sampling new (or DIY) juices.
Uses less juice to get a taste- easier to clean out, you don't 'waste' a carto or cleaning time until you know you like the juice.

I've had the same problem. Nothing is worse than filling a carto with juice and realizing that it's an old one that should have been thrown away already. I have tried labeling carts and putting a date code on them to try to eliminate this problem. It works, but only if you do it every time you pop on a new carto, which I didn't. I have settled on only using a few cartos at a time.

I dug out my old label maker and I label the flavor of the carto with that. Then, since I'm using go-go cartos, which can be disassembled and dry burned, I've been using a drop of colored nail polish to indicate whether the carto has been rebuilt. 1 nail polish dot for each time I rebuild.

I haven't been doing this for long, so I don't know how it will work out in the long run.

Plano 3630 are good boxes for storing cartos, juices up to 10ml and other stuff. The 3630 ones are the 7x11 boxes that are are deeper. They come with 5 or 6 dividers you can put wherever you want in the middle and back row.

If you put the condoms on the cartos they will last for a while. But I don't know about germs.

I don't put a juice in a carto unless I know I like the juice. If you are using a KR808D-1, you can use a standard resistance DSE901 atomizer to test juices. If using a Greensmoke/KR808D-1 you can put on a D2 to D1 adapter from leCig then a standard resistance DSE901 atty. If you are using a Blu, you can put on a standard resistance 510 atty. if you have auto batteries you can use carts on the atty, with manual battery a drip tip.

Maybe you can just do the same sharpe idea and simply put a dot on the carto for every week you've used it. Clean it and toss them based on reccomended time frame from more experienced users.

Kind of like how prosiners write lines on the wall just use small dots around the top end of the carto where the battery threads in.

I put a colored rubberband (the tiny ones) around the carto and the same color band around the juice bottle used to fill that carto. Fast and easy.

On cleaning - I'm not convinced that it's safe to clean cartos multiple times. Maybe once. The filler material breaks down over time. I don't want to vape those filler particles. If a carto lasts me a week before getting funky I consider that a great deal at just over a buck. They're made to be disposable.

I've read about using fingernail polish to make a dot on the carto and juice bottle to coordinate also. I do that with mod batteries for cycling. One dot on batt 1, 2 dots on batt 2 and so on on the top outer edge of the batt. Sharpie labeling wears off too quickly on batts.

Yeah, I should clarify my comment above. I'm using go-go cartos, which are more expensive (~$2@), but also horizontal coil. So you can take the filler out and even replace it with fluval to get more use out of it.

Regarding bacteria growing in... I don't really know. I'd think the nicotine and the PG would be pretty good at inhibiting bacterial growth, but I haven't heard/read anything about that.
