Hello! I've been lurking this forum for awhile now, I decided to purchase the k808d1 from LeCig after reading some reviews here. The kit came with 5 refillable cart's.. I used them all and cleaned them out pretty well and refilled them with some liquid. I used a method of putting the liquid in the small caps that holds the carts and slowly pushed the cartomizer down onto it, until you could see it almost coming out the top. I let it sit for an hour or so and began vaping..

1. I have to suck pretty hard to get vapor
2. Vapor production went down significantly
3. I can't hear the atty burning the liquid, but I can still get the taste and little vapor. (when I used the prefilled carts I could hear it burning and hit very hard)

Are these symptoms of overfilling the cart? Should I clean them again and refill with less?

Sorry for the wall of text :)

Don't think you over filled them at all...Since when you over fill a cart you get juice in your mouth......And you don't seem to have that problem....

On a few of them I have gotten little bits of liquid. I know that's an overfill for sure :)

I'll try cleaning them again, I'm using hot water and letting them sit for about an hour or two..I'll try longer this time :p

It's not the technique I'm using to refill is it?

Still a Noob myself, so FWIW, I've found that fluffing the stuffing ;) seems to help. I just use tweezers to pull the filler out a little, move it around and stuff it back in. I don't know if it's because I've overfilled and that adds air or what, but it does work for me.

I'll try that! I just ordered a new set so I'll use these to test.

Thanks Kat :D

Oh, no you need to let them sit and dry for much longer.

Most people clean then and let them sit overnight.

Also, I (and many others) find it better to let the carto itself sit for at least several hours before vaping it.

Just think: the carto gets filled then packaged then shipped to the US and sits on a shelf before you buy it and it gets shipped to you. That's a long time.

Don't worry, you'll get the hang of it ;)

the cartomizer cap fill method works fairly well as long as you count the drops. About 20 for a full refill, 6 to 8 to top off after 30 mins of vaping for me.
You do have to start with DRY cartos...since you only have 5, I would use a blow dryer to dry them out, and blow excess water out first.

Wrote that on a sticky note so I don't forget. I think I just filled them to early and maybe they weren't dry enough yet.

I've found that refilling carts is somewhat of an art form. Too much liquid, your vape sucks, too little and you'll end up burning the cart. The quality of your vape will decrease over time though, which I haven't yet found a remedy for. If anyone does have the secret to the everlasting cart, please let me know! And:

Don't worry, you'll get the hang of it

I love carto's but the sad fact is they will eventually diminish over time because they were really meant to use and throw away origionally the filler is not replaceable.

A couple things, it definately sounds like they werent dry enough when you were trying to use them. I noticed that these wont get hot enough to vaperize water and make that popping sound like they do with the e-juice. So make sure you let them dry long enough, might even look up the reverse taryn spin, it might work for you.

What carto's are you using? Standard, V4l premiums, or V9 Turbos?

The standards hold about 20 drops dry, the vapor4life premiums just a little more maybe a few drops, and the Vapornine turbos will hold around 1.4 ml (I can usually fill a blank with 1 to 1 and 1/2 of the plastic covers) anyway, this most likely isnt an overfilling issue, sounds more like water inside the carto.

So, I've cleaned and filled many carts, especially if I get a flavor I hate. I won't vape it at all; just open it up, give it a good long rinse with the hottest water I can stand, blow through until no more water comes out, then give it a few good flicks of the wrist. No waiting at all, it's ready to fill and vape. =)

If you're going to refill with the same flavor, there's no need to rinse the carto out unless it isn't performing well (I do typically give it a quick wipe with alcohol on the outside daily, though). I refill my carto several times a day to avoid vaping it dry. I gently blow any excess from the mouth end into a paper towel, and wipe off the battery end, and it's good to go.

I'm going with the standard, I'm trying to get the feel of everything right now. That reverse taryn spin sounds awesome! Definitely trying this. Damn stupid noob mistake.
