Mistress Nomad: I'm sorry your Q didn't get answered yet. I have blown out cartomizers, but I have never rinsed them out, so I can't answer that for you. Sorry. Maybe Sanford will be back and can answer that for you.

And as Bianca mentioned, do not dry burn a carto.

For the rest of you who need a little more info on the cartomizers (you still w/us anthony?). The link below shows what they look like, and this is the way they are filled and refilled.

Thanks Sanford,

Can you use these cartomizers with the Joye 510 or must one buy the 'mega' 510 battery?

Anthony

Absolutely, they'll work well, they are meant for anything with a 510 connection and as they contain no fluid, you may get them into Oz. Nhaler also has them with fluid (nic) if you're feeling lucky. Can you get Chinese e-liquids? Gear? How the heck can there be vapers in Oz without nicotine juices?

:lol::laugh: That's too funny! I was wondering the same thing, but I was afraid to ask. Good to see you still have a sense of humor after that 5.9 EQ that was so close to you. Dang, sanford, I almost wet my pants it was so scary, and you're closer than I am to where it hit. Dang, I'm still shaking.

Cartomizers are the way to go, it seems. Lots of helpful information here.
I'm throwing those cartridges away!!! I have to refill too much.

Seriously. I can get 40 drops (I'm not kidding!) in a standard Boge blank carto and vape it for a looooong time before I have refill it or load another one. I can get through almost a whole day with one...or two, depending how my day is going. ;) I use the "condom and spin" method. About 25 drops to start with, then cap and spin it, then do 10 more drops, spin again, then 5 more...and of course spin again. Blow out the center and vape! This may seem like a lot of work, but that's FORTY drops in there and so much less work than cartridges ever were! :vapor:

...Will washing help at all once they've already started to taste funny? One of mine is definitely losing its flavor. This is the 4th or 5th refill I think.

Yes, but I have only needed to do it few times since March. I use hydrogen peroxide and a touch of bleach to clean the funkiness out. I rinse with a little water to get residual fluid out, do a few wrist flicks to remove some of the water, then in a small cup or ramekin, with just the H2O2, place the carto in to soak, then I add a little bleach, not much (kills more germs). It will fizz some. Swirl it around some, let it sit for a bit, at least an hour. I then rinse throughly with water, do the Taryn spin (no condoms) to get the majority of water out, then let it sit over night threads up on a paper towel. Refill with the next or same flavor and enjoy. I hope it's not burned. I refill before it runs dry to prevent burning. I also rotate through several (7-12) units during a day, so I am not straining any gear too much. I also dedicate atties or cartos to a flavor. Good luck, hope this helps.

Yeah, I almost ran out of the house. It came in 2 waves and was the hardest peak shake I have felt in a while. As soon as I knew it wasn't the 'BIG ONE' I checked in with the USGS to see where it was and how strong. There's been more than the usual shakin' this year and not just here. I live in a 2 story, so it seems just a bit more scary.
