I am still trying to figure out what all the hype is with a carto as I find they all mute the flavore for me, do they need tome to break in? I have vaped on a carto for a about 2 days max before I have to stop because I just cant seem to enjoy the flavor as much., I fill them properly, I keep them wet, I do everything needed and its just muted muted muted. Currently I have a DC Smoktech carto in hand with Boba's bounty in it, and even my vivi nova blows it away for flavor and I know the vivi even muted flavor for me

It's hype, at least for some of us. I have the same experience - almost every type/brand/style of carto I have tried tastes like vaping air to me. Lotto vapor - no flavor. For all the bother, lack of flavor, mess, and the relatively short life span they just don't do it for me either.

To each his own. The best part about vaping is the options, finding the stuff that works best for you. (And preferably not being ridiculed for your choice.)

It's really a matter of personal preference. Cartos do require a little bit of break-in, but not more than one fill. It should have been great by two days. What are the ohms on the carto versus the Vivi? Is it possible that the carto is higher and not giving as much vapor?

well I am currently using a 1.5ohm DC carto from smoktech, I can run it all the way up to 5.5v. it puts out a TON of vapor and the thoat hit is good, just a muted flavor for me :( oh and the vivi I use a 2.4 ohm atty

I like cartomizers...with or without cartotanks. They work better for me (flavor and vapor) than a wick type clearo, and better than the atomizer t tank systems I've used. I also direct drip a little, but only for testing flavor for my DIY. I think it's just personal preference and to some degree, mindset.

Best to use what works best for YOU. What is my ideal set up doesn't translate to being the "ideal" for someone else.

I have been using cartotanks exclusively for several months, because for me they provide the best flavor of all of the more common juice delivery devices. It's extremely important to fill both the cartomizer and the tank properly for their optimal enjoyment. I've also used clearomizers and the Vivi Nova tanks, and have given them all away as I've found that all string-wicked delivery devices are inconsistant in flavor.

I've worked hard collecting a ton of useful information and placing it in my blogs concerning juice delivery devices, with a special focus on cartotanks. You are more than welcome to view these articles by clicking on the link below my avatar. I'll add one direct link to one of the articles that you might find useful about how I fill my cartomizers, here:

What is resistance of cartomizer? How many volts is applied to the PV? In the simplest case, to determine the right volts, add 2 to the ohm.
for example,
2 ohm + 2 = 4 volts

Whoa there..... I have to disagree on this. If this were true, the 3.2 ohm single coils I use should be ideally vaped at 5.2 volts? No way! I find that anything over 4.5 (on a Provari) tastes hot and burnt to me. I'd say maybe add 1.2-1.5 volts to the ohm # (impedance) but no way I'd recommend going as high as 2.

This coming from an exclusive cartomizer and carto tank user.
