I use Ikenvape 510 Fusion or Ikenvape Platinum cartomizers in IBTanked pyrex cartotanks. You think 12 are enough? :D

This system offers the best flavor without going to dripping on an atomizer or bottom feeding mod.

drip atomizer used on my VMod bottom feeder box mod

View attachment 251857 Honorable mention to Innokin iClear 30 clearomizers. Dual top-coils and 16 wicks.

The IBTank, far right, on the silver provari, is that a 22" or 25"

I have 2 of these since I started and never had a problem. Get a Fuel Tank sleeve http://www.electronicstix.com/products/spare-delrin-sleeve-for-3-3-ml-j-tank for crackable juices.
They are 3.3ml and run about $17. Replacement #7 O-rings can be bought at the big hardware stores.

Carto tanks provide a nice saturated vape.

I plan on getting a Stainless Steel Slap Yo' Mama Multi-Purpose Adapter [SYMSS] - $12.99 : Big Daddy Vapor because the ElectronicStix.Com · J-Tank Filla-Ma-Jig doesn't fit so nice when refilling.

For a carto punch, I bought one of these from HomeDepot and modified it by drilling a window on the backside. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Watts-1-4-in-x-1-4-in-Lead-Free-Brass-Compression-x-Compression-Self-Tapping-Saddle-Valve-LF-A50/202254838#.Uj8NX0Z8sWQ

Is there a taste or vape difference in using the dual coil cartons vs single coil with same resistance?
This is a subjective issue of taste, and depends upon the taster. No different than if you ask if there is a difference between two different flavors of juice. You'll get a different response depending upon who you ask.

I will say that I know more people who prefer single coil to dual coils. There are those who do use and prefer the use of dual coils, though. My personal opinion is they were a good idea in theory that didn't quite work out in practice.

Dual cartos were introduced to the market at the same time that Smoktech released their DCT or dual coil tank system. All of these tanks were sold with their new dual coil cartomizers. This was a rather brilliant marketing strategy by Smoktech. The name DCT stuck around even though you can easily put a single coil cartomizer in these tanks, and most people today do that. Even today the typical long length cartotank is still often referred to as a DCT tank even if it is made by another manufacturer, much like Bandaids is synonomous with adhesive bandage, and Q-Tips is synonomous with cotton tip applicators, Kleenex is synonomous with facial tissues.

I mainly use the IGO-L and the RSST these days, but have been on a carto kick this week. Using some LR Boge XXLs in a cheapy Smoktech tank and loving them. Not to hijack the thread, but anybody here use the AGR+ tanks? I really like the look of them (yes, including the fill hole cap on top). Just curious as to how they perform before I spring for one.

Ive learned most of what I use from Baditude when it comes to carto's and tanks..... he makes a pretty good pitch-man. I have also strayed from what he has taught me and have come back to the fold.

With that said, (I'm quoting Bad here)... for the money, you cant buy a better quality tank than an IBTanked. Tanks will leak, these do not. Its all about the quality ( the seals, the glass, the end caps )

There are fancier and more dedorative tanks that work great.. (Phiniac etc..) but you cant go wrong with the IBTanked. Well worth the price of admission.

I'm another one for the Smok Tech Pyrex carto tank. You can vape anything in them.
I'm in agreement with you there. I am REALLY curious and eager to try mine with the iKenVape cartos (when he gets them back in stock).

I like the larger V1 Pryex on my Sigelei, the fit and balance appeals to my hand and my eye, the price appeals to my wallet. When it comes down to it, I realize that a tank is a tank and as long as it doesn't leak or break, its job is to be a reliable reservoir, nothing less, nothing more. I can definitely respect and admire the more expensive and higher-end tanks as being better crafted, but (for me) unless or until I have a reason to change, I think that I've found my personal sweet spot on these.

My wife has had to give up on the tanks though, they don't work with her style of vaping. She was a sub-conscious smoker (didn't even think when she was lighting up, it was all on auto-pilot) and when she pulls a drag, she pulls the same way she always had on analogs... Hard, deep and straight into her lungs. Even when she would have me sitting there trying to make her consciously trying to change her inhalation, she couldn't alter it. And so, any cart in a tank with her was sooner or later flooded due to her draw. She's back to the SmokTech mega-cartos, notices a flavor loss, has to wet them down manually, but she doesn't flood those. Plus, she chewed the hell out of the drip tip on the tanks (they look like a 3rd grader's pencil), the rubber drip-tip on the mega-cartos is much safer, dental-wise.

I've tried several of the "clearomizer" type tanks, and they didn't do much for me. I prefer carto tanks. I'm not that "fussy" about my tanks because I don't vape juice that might crack things...so I can use pretty much whatever suits me. I like the Boge F16s, but found that the chrome coating on the end caps tends to bubble and chip. The tank itself is fine, though. I also really like the Valley View Vapes tanks. I use the polypro ones with the side fill, and have both the rubber gasket endcaps and the metal ones. The big draw for me with those is that filling is a breeze with the side fill screw hole, they look nice and best of all they are LIGHT. They are great for PVs that don't do well with a big honking heavy things on them, or with questionable connections that might be damaged by something heavy. Valley View has the pyrex versions, too, though...and I'm thinking of giving one a try soon. Prices are great there. A recently-added-to-my-collection favorite is the Smok Pyrex tank...both sizes (2.5ml. and 5m.) They are handsome, durable and easy to care for, and economical.

For cartomizers I like Ikenvape, Boge and Smoktech. I prefer single coil with two hole punches. I buy the pre-punched ones a lot...but also buy the ones I punch myself. Both versions work fine, but with the ones I punch I have more control where the holes are and can make sure I don't punch too close to the coil wire. If you get a hole too close it makes the carto crackle and make a lot of noise when vaping and I don't like that. The pre-punched are convenient, though...

I have a Slap Yo Mama tool, but also use the long "tank filler drip tip"s that a lot of vendors sell (cheap). Both work equally well, but the SYM is better for switching out cartos when juice is still in the tank.

If you're just getting into carto/tank systems I'd recommend an AGR tank. They figured out the locking system. They sit a little taller due to the locking feature but they're pretty fool proof...alleviating the problem of sliding the tank off accidentally and they have a fill hole on top. They're cheap, easy to use, they don't leak and they're a great way to see if carto tanks are your thing. They use unflanged cartos and come with both tubes - standard and xl. The AGR+ is a glass version that works well . I've never had any problems with them.

I use IBTanked tanks now...mainly because they look amazing. I still use Boge...but Baditude has me thinking I should widen my horizon and try something else.....
