Cartomizer questions

I'm loving my Joye510, and I'm already wanting to branch out. Can someone tell me the benefits of a cartomizer? More importantly, how much liquid can a cartomizer hold in comparison to a 510 cart, how consistent are they with their hits, and are they just as cost effective? Thank you

Cartomizer holds about 20 drops I had to top off my cart every 5 or so drops
more vapor with 510
more flavor with carto
cheaper 510 with carts
easier cartomizers
consistency about the same for me it takes the carots 5 puffs to warm up every time I use them while the 510 got too hot after about 10 puffs and I would have to put it down to cool off or I would get a burnt taste

I use cartos on my 510. They hold about 18-20 drops and their alot better than the carts I think. But to get the full benifit you need to go to mad vapes and get the 5volt passthrough for $15.00 it makes the vapor and flavor perfect. They work ok without but it's a different deal with.

I never even thought of using cartos on my 510. With that passthrough, would it work just as well as a model designed to use ecigs?

You're welcome! I'm glad they helped. I just ordered cartos and an adapter yesterday, and I'm looking forward to trying them.

V4L cartomizers hold 1ml fluid. i'm not sure if that was a manufacturing change, or just a filling change--i know generic carts are filled with .75ml instead. i wash and dry my carts and then fill them with 1ml by syringe--but my fave way to vape them is to lose the plastic cap and rubber inner ring, replace with a 'condom' with a hole punched in (the condom is the rubber cap that the carto comes with) and top off so it stays nice n' juicy.

Jo, thanks so much for the vids. I bookmarked for future reference. I have only used carts and the KR8. I ruined the first 24 or so before I found this forum and learned how to refill. In my quest to determine how much juice I use I wanted to know how much juice a prefilled cart had. Took a couple of carts from two different suppliers. Popped the ends off and used needle nose to remove the the polyfill. Put the polyfill into a rubber endpiece. Then I used a syringe to remove the juice from the polyfill. Out of the two carts, prefills have 15-16 drops of juice. Just tried the method of filling the rubber endpiece with juice and pushing the battery end of the cart down into the rubber, Works like a charm.. I have only used a KR8. Ordering a 510 this weekend.

Tune- I love the carts of the KR8 because of the 2 piece design. I burn a battery out before the cart dies..Plus I drip with them too. I just pull the polyfill out with needlenose and drip on the little white piece on the wire with a syringe. Couple of drops is a good 5 or 6 vapes.

I am a very visual person and the videos now answer the questions I was going to ask about refilling and cleaning my cartomizers. It helps to see what I need to do.

The videos definitely inspired me to try carts. I'm torn between getting an adapter for my 510 or buying a new type of ecig, such as the vaporking.
