Cartomizer Real Life..?

I did a cursory search on here to see if I could answer that question. Didn't find anything after a few tries. I'm sure it's here, but then I started thinking about the fact that everything has probably gotten better in last year or less. So, figured I would ask anew.

What would you say is the real life of cartomizers? Yes, each one is different, and each user is different. I am just asking in general. Is it 2-3 uses generally? Or, 10-20? Or....?

Also, how does one know their cartomizer is getting bad? Other than it starts tasting burnt. Cuz' I really don't even want to get to that point. If you know what I mean.

By the way, I'm vaping with LeCig's Mega Carts right now.

I've been looking around too and it seems many folks can get about 20 ml through one before taste drops off or they get too hard of a draw.

And that's similar to what I've been getting from them too.

While I have no experience with LeCig, I'll key you in on my practices.

I change mine weekly. Other than a burnt taste, eventually you'll start to lose flavor in my experience. Or start getting a stronger poly taste.

Keep in mind, I tank my cartos so they stay fairly wet. They will last longer that way, keeping them wet. YMMV.

I'd agree. I'm consistently getting 22 - 24 ml of use, at 6 - 7ml/day, between swaps. (Yes, 6 - 7 ml/day I use a variable voltage mod, with a carto tank.)

I use a tank and go-go cartomizers. I tend to get about 4-5 days before the flavor starts to fall off too much (so that would be about 5ml a day x 4-5, or 20-25 ml). I used to try to stretch them further by cleaning etc... but I finally decided life was too short to spend time sucking on a skunky carto, so now I just replace them when they start to taste less fabulous.

I save all my used cartos for the zombie apocalypse, but I break out a fresh one about every 4 days.

Oh, and to add this... my filler never gets burned, so that's not the issue. I can take a go-go carto apart (horizontal coil) and see that the filler is fine, no burned spots. It may be that the filler gets too stiff with the amount of juice that's gone through or the coil gets too gunky, whatever the issue is, it just loses flavor and starts to taste dry.

It really depends on so many different factors. Higher VG juices generally clog a carto faster. I find 30% VG or less helps make them last longer. Thicker juices also dont wick as well and can burn the wick if you chain-vape bc the carto isnt wicking fast enough, and that will kill then faster. I normally vape juices that are 80/20. Also using clear juices will generally make a carto last longer. Many dark/cloudy juices contain flavoring sediments and I find sediments clog a carto faster than anything. Also, obviously, user error can def shorten the life of a carto. Like others said, keeping them wet and making sure they are filled properly helps them last longer.

I use the Ressurector cartos and I get on avg 2-4 weeks out of one carto. I use a syringe to fill them and never let them get low. I normally switch to a new carto when Im not happy with the airflow or becuase the flavor starts to taste alittle off bc of extended use. You can clean your cartos, but I dont bc I feel if I get at least 2 weeks on one carto Im getting my moneys worth so I dont even bother trying to clean them. I also find some cartos dont work as well after being cleaned so thats why I dont even bother
