Cartomizer stiff draw after 2 days.

I'm on my first 5 pack of cartos. The first one lasted about 1 week. The last 2 I've used got a strange problem after only 2 days of usage.

The drag gets stiff, when its new it sucks like a straw and gives a very silky smooth TH. But both the last 2 cartos I've used got stiff to the point where you can hardly get a drag out of it.

Is this a common carto problem? Am I just unlucky to have 2 dud cartos in a row? If its a common issue - is there any way to sort it out, so that it gives that same straw like hit when it was new?

Cartos can get gummed up fast if you use liquids that are high in VG (especially if you add your own pure vg), have oily flavors or use natural macerated flavors (some tobacco and tea flavors use this process).

When mine get like this I set them aside for boiling, here's how:

Use PG liquid and they will last longer before clogging up... never liked the draw on 510 cartos, prefer the 808's myself.

A boil and/or alcohol dip should fix 'em.

First, make sure you haven't overfilled them. Trying blowing out of them into a paper towel to make sure there's not liquid blocking something. Also, when you open them up (to remove the caps before you boil them or to refill them), make sure that you can see through the straw/wicking hole. They may just need to be realigned a bit.

When I clean a batch of 510's I always let them sit a day or two then give them a test blow to make sure I've got air flow. If they're clogged at all I take a large unbent paperclip and *gently* work it into the carto from the battery end.
