While I don't have a tank that uses polyfil carto's, I can say that as far as I know, all polyfil carto's draw air up through the hole in the connector. It's just how they are designed. The 808-D1 and Boge 510 carto's are virtually the same internally.

I'd venture to guess your flooding issue is do to to large a feed hole in your carto or something along those lines.

Someone will come along soon with experience with these types of tanks I'm sure.

Cartos I've used in tanks all had a center tube through the polyfil, this keeps it from flooding. I've read of someone taking a standard atty and getting them to work by drill a 1/3mm hole near the base of the tube using surface tension to only allow e liquid to enter when you inhale. maybe you could try drilling a smaller hole? I've never used an 808 carto is there an air tube in the middle?

Nowadays cartos use mixed techniques for construction, so this may no longer apply.

If memory serves right, the 808's use a cloth sock around the coil assembly and Boge
510's use a sorta straw. This could be the difference in flooding.

I agree with the idea of using smaller holes. You may have to sacrifice a few cartos to
experiment with different layouts. One or two holes, bigger or smaller.

I've tried to make my own 808 cartomizer tank. Leaked right away...through the battery hole. I've read that some use only boge cartos. I'd like to use a mega-style carto.

Can someone name some 808 mega-type cartos that have been verified not to leak via the battery hole?

Thanks.
Well GG users have been using punched 808s in their tanks, AVS etc. for quite awhile.

Post a pic of your tank. Usually it's the filling, then capping that creates pressure that forces the liquid out.
