Cartomizer tank questions

I started out with an ego-c setup and recently stepped up to the ce5 clearomizer because of the ego tips leaking so much. Then I joined this forum and saw so many people raving about the vivi nova that I ordered one (still waiting). That being said, my friend told me today that the cartomizer tanks use less juice than the nova and performed better. I haven't tried the nova yet but I have noticed the ce5 uses way more juice and seems to be the same system basically as the nova. So here's my question. Does the cartomizer tank use less fluid? Are the vapor and taste better? Worse? If the carto is better, can you suggest an attractive (chrome) version, as the smoktech one seems to have black rubber caps? Thanks in advance for the help/advice.

Uh...the black rubber caps are from the tank, not the cartomizer.... (I think if that's what you're talking about...)

I use primarily carto tanks and prefer them for my vaping. They have provided me with the best flavor of juices. I have not tried a Vivi Nova tank, but I have a few Smoktech Titans (or Screw Tanks) that are Smoktech's version of the vivi. They are easy to fill and provide lots of vapor, but for some of my juices the flavor was just not there.

My first cartotanks were the Smoktech DCT polypropylene. I have both the 6ml and 3.5ml sizes. They both have the chrome endcaps. The polypropylene tubes are safe for use with all juices, including the cinnamon and citrus flavors that can crack polypropylene tubes. These tubes are frosted, and are available in clear and several colors. I have gotten mine from both websites below. Both tanks use an XL size cartomizer.

If you need cartomizers for your tank, My Vapor Store offers a tank kit that includes a pack of 5 pre-punched cartos and a metal drip tip. PB Dragon provides a single pre-punched carto and a drip tip with their tank. The 1.5ohm cartos are recommended for Ego batteries. Remember, if you order additional cartos that are not pre-punched, you will need a carto punch tool from another website. (Neither PB Dragon nor My Vapor Store appear to sell them.)

Thanks for the replies, and thanks for the links Baditude. That looks like just what I was looking for and based on your recommendation I'll definitely give it a try.
