Weirdness. I cant even smell the rubber on those caps and I've got the nose of the pros. I guess the question to start with would be how did you fill it? With what did you fill it? What sort of rig are you using? Did you let the Carto soak for a short time before trying?

Could be as simple as getting a bad carto (happens sometimes) but maybe its something else.

I'm using the Sit and Go 510 passthrough. These cartos have the soft tops. I popped out the top and dripped in about 20 or so drops until the padding started to look moist. Then I let it sit for a minute while that soaked in and added some more. After the first taste I took it off and it's been sitting for the last hour and 45 minutes. I've tried it a couple more times since then, and still tastes like the rubber caps smell.

I have never heard of such a thing! I have been using cartos for quite some time and have never experienced this.

I said last week, but it was Tuesday of last week. Maybe a bad batch, cause I seriously thought they were some of the better ones I've gotten. I use a lot of cartos, cause I pitch them often. If they're all that way, and it looks like you're not the only one, maybe contact them.

Ive gotten 2 5 packs at different times and both had the smell/taste. Do you use a drip tip by chance?

I'm pretty new to vaping. Can you please explain what a drip tip is? I am using cartos from V4L.

Its basically a replacement for the cartridge for people that drip juice directly onto the atomizer versus using a cart and polyfill. It can be metal or plastic with a widemouth opening.

Looks like: oops cant post a link

I use em on cartos too because it doesnt get as hot and i dont get as much of the rubber smell/taste as described in this thread.

No I don't. Like I said the filler was higher up in the tube on these. I ordered 3 five packs, and am just finishing the 1st one. I may open the others and check here in a few now since 2 of you guys are having problems, but I'd sure contact them, and will if the other packs are that way.

If you're a regular carto user and are sure something's funky, contact them, heck they may have already had complaints and be expecting more. :2c:

carts vs cartos, just my 2cents. There's two vendors I bought cartomizers from and have the vitamin bottle taste and smell that won't go away unless you use a very thick and imposing flavor. I won't use them anymore. I buy my cartos from other vendors with NO smell or taste. As for poly filled carts, no problem from any vendor. Cartomizers may look alike, but they are not alike at all.
