I have just stepped up from a standard 510 to a Riva that I got from Freedom Flights. It is great. All day on one battery! Great to be pretty much cut free from the charger for a day long vape. When I am at home, I have been dripping and really like this form of vaping. But when I am out and about I have used only cartridges. I am going to get some cartomizers to use in the car but don't know which ones are the best. I know that everyone has their favorites but am confused by all the different comments. Boge, Joye, soft cap, hard flat ends, easy to fill with syringe, condom. What is the best and easiest for a newbie to try? I don't want it to be a bad experience if it doesn't have to be. Help on making the choice for a beginner would be appreciated.

From my experience, the cartridges seem to go dry awfully fast. I'm new to this, but since I haven't tried cartos, I can't make an educated decision between the two. I just don't want to start out with ones that are not up to standard and decide that they are worse than cartridges if that is not really the case.

if you dont like carts because they go dry really fast you can try blue foam or what i did(another members idea) was take a pen spring cut it down to size 3/4 way up, put it into my cart and used the pollyfill as a pug.....holds alot more juice and wicks really good to, might take a few springs to figure out what works best for you but it does work!-)

I just ordered a 5 pack of boge soft cap cartos from Lite Cig USA for my 510 as i am really tired of my regular cartridges. Although my dads b-day is coming up soon and he wants to get an ecig too and I recently heard of the new Tank system from Joye that I was considering getting him as it seems like it'd be much better.

I have been trying out different cartomizers from many different suppliers, but personally, I have found the "Soft Tip GP510 Cartomizers for 510 and eGo" from Goodprophets.com to work the best and last the longest, for me anyways. I use mine on both my ego and my provape1 with equal success. They also carry them in the "mega" size, which holds a ton of juice! (Get them in the stainless, they look better *wink*) NOW, if you want to experiment a bit, go to Ikenvape.com and buy some of their "801 Fusion" cartomizers when they get them back in stock. You'll need a 510 to 801 adapter, which you can buy for 99 cents from goodprophets.com, in order to use them on your ego...but these will blow you away for a cartomizer! They're great, but run hot, so you can't chain-vape with them!

Don't let it bother you Most of us are confused. Things are changing so fast and there so many different cartomizers out that it's impossible to keep up. Then a lot of venders rebrand the cartos they sell so you can buy the same carto from the same manufacturer and the only difference will be the name.

If you buy a boge 3.0 ohm cartomizer from one vender it will be the same from another vender. So unless you want to keep buying the same carto you already don't like try to buy from venders that gives the manufacturer and the ohms of the carto. Some of the other major manufacturers are slb, joye and RoyalSmokers.

You should know that the lower the ohms the more hit, smoke, hotter vapor, and the more power it will draw from the battery. The Riva will handle can handle the LR low ohm cartos which are usually 2.0 ohms or less. Some of the smaller batteries can't handle the current draw and may be damaged or have their life shortened.
