Eh, I don't think its the type of juice, but the thickness of it.

Generally, regardless of flavor, if my juice is thin enough for the carto or clearo to wick up nicely, I get no burnt taste here. Some flavors do taste hotter or cooler than others though. I like my fruits cooler and my tobaccos or robust flavers warmer.

Wicking issues maybe?

Yeah, I use mostly 100% PG or 80% PG. Just want something to taste like it smells. I thought it was because when I started I would just refill them with different flavors, but I've since dedicated tank cartomizers strictly to one flavor and I still have the problem. Even with various vendor's juices and DIY juices that I flavor the crap out of.

I agree. I've never had an issue with burnt taste unless it wasn't wicking right or got dry. Not all of my flavours are fruity and I only have wick based clearos.

It's more the amount of heat, than it is the delivory device.
I will say that darker flavors sure clog things up quick.

I get the best flavor from using my 4 year old 901 attys with my 4.8 volt Puck mod I built. That setup is great. So you're probably right about heat being an issue.

I look at clearos like a dripper. You have to keep the wick wet or it'll burn, so I vape my clearos practically horizontal. Carts in tanks don't need to be tipped, but you need to be aware of where the punched hole is in case you do tip it. If you tip and the juice can't get in the hole, then the cart drys out and you end up with a burnt taste. I'm sure you're aware of all of that, but had to say it anyways.

I do find that some juices taste better in clearos rather than carts. I actually like dark juices in both clearos and carts. Fruity juices don't work in carts for me... they become almost tasteless and perfume-y, so I like them in clearos. Funny how it seems to be the exact opposite for you!

Perhaps you need a carto with more than one hole. One of the blueberry juices seems to work best with a 3 hole carto.
