I have a Smoke Tech ego type pv with 650mah batteries. The kit originally came with 2ohm Boge cartomizers. The hit was too harsh, both TH and for my lungs. So I bought some Boge 3 ohm. I've been using them for about 3 weeks and I am having trouble. They don't last for more then 2 days before they get very clogged and they are burning up inside. I opened one up and it was burnt. (The paper around the wire and the filling.) That was pretty fun to do. Anyway...They just taste nasty, like old sock or burnt. I dyi some of my own juice and the joke is that I vape cherry sock. I've had 3 different packages and it's the same. I clean them by rinsing them in hot water and then boiling them, blowing out again and air drying for 2 days. The 3ohm cartomizers also get very hot when I use them. I can get maybe 4 puffs in a row before I have to let it cool and switch it out for another filled cartomizer. By the 2nd day they are clogged to the nines. So what else can I tell you? I vape a 70/30 or 80/20 pg/vg mixture. I'd chain vape if I could. I use sweet vapes. Banana cream pie, cherry, and honeysuckle that I diy with added sweetener from Ms. T or FA. (3-4 drops per 5ml) I also vape tons of Top Vapor cotton candy. I want lots of vapor but not so much heat. Is my juice too thick? Is it the sweetener causing the clogging and the cartomizer to get hot? I love sweet vapes. Can you recommend a better cartomizer for me?

I should have asked all this before I purchased the following:
Royal Smokes xl clearo 2.5 ohm, Royal Smokes clearo 2.8 ohm, Bauway xl ce2 2.9 ohm, and ego mega dual 1.6 ohm. I'm wanting to try the clears to see if the taste is better, and chance the leaking. These were shipped today.

Thank you for your help. I read and read, log into a nightly vape video chat, watch videos and try to educate myself as much as possible without bugging you all too much. So, I really appreciate this. Help me OB1, you're my only hope. XD

I can get 2 weeks or more good use out of a Boge 3.0. I am on my 3rd week with my current one.

I use thin clear juices
No more than 20% VG
Clear juices that leave no flavoring sediment behind

Even 30% VG and I can feel it clogging up, with the wick and the draw getting harder. If I do use a 70pg/30vg juice I thin it with distilled water or edible pure grain alcohol first.

I agree sweet ones may degrade the draw quicker but I get more than a week's good use with clear thin sweet juices. You might want to do 10% or less VG with sweet ones and look for light transparent juices. Once when I accidentally put some 70/30 sweet juice in my carto and the draw degraded, I used a little dropper and some pure grain alcohol (Everclear - I had to go to a neighboring state's liquor shop to get it) and I dripped 4-5 drops of that into the carto stuffing to help loosen it up again.

And re burning/singeing - you have to keep them damp. I use a plastic or delrin drip tip as a mouthpiece on my main cartos (not to drip into). The drip tip is easy to remove for adding juice. Whenever the vapor gets a bit light or a bit dry or a bit funny tasting, or the carto is getting unusually warm, I add juice.

Well, I've read your posts before doormouse on the thin clear juice. I didn't realize it was really thick until I distilled some water added a few drops (5 or so to 5ml) and I can definitely tell the difference. I appreciate you taking the time to answer. Now, how much water (until I can find everclear, don't know if they sell it in cali?) should I add? Say to 10ml? I may have overdone it this time as now the juice seems to have lost its, not sure the right word, body? fullness? the vape seems not as heavy.

So the boge cartomizer are fine with my battery and the ohm is fine? if I use a LR will it not be so hot with a thinner juice?

I do use a drip tip so we're good there. I agree easy peasy to add more juice.

I thought I was keeping them wet, but maybe not so much, if the juice was too thick to get to the wick. I drop juice in it a
lot but maybe not giving it enough time to absorb as I lose some through the bottom. I love it when you post, I've actually learned a lot from you and you didn't even know it. :)

ps thanks for your 2 cents Dog! :)
