I currently have a SD MK2 that is threaded for 901. What I want to do is try cartomizers, will a regular 901 to 510 adapter then a cartomizer work on the SD MK2? I dont see why it wouldnt but was hoping to find someone with experience with them to give a definitive answer. OR Is there an easier/different way to use cartomizers on the SD MK2?

There is more to compatiblity than threading. Air flow for example.
510 cartomizers (e.g., from LiteCigUSA, LiquidXpress, or ElectroNicStix) might work with a 901 batt to 510 atty adapter, e.g., LiteCigUSA, Good Prophets, VaporKings. [I have no direct experience to confirm this.]
Kr8 cartomizers probably will not work with the Screwdriver without adapter, but almost certainly will work with a 901 to Kr8 adapter, e.g., from NHaler ("901 > KR808") or AltSmoke ("901 Battery" to "KR808D Atomizer"). [The latter is less expensive.]
I suggest that you contact the relevant supplier to confirm.
