OK, I just filled up my first 510 cartomizer. I was a dyed in the wool 901 user until last week when I decided to build a 6 volt 510 mod and try it with HV attys. It seemed as good as the 901s (not better) until I tried my "go-to" menthol juice and noticed a marked lack of flavor. Seemed OK for other flavors though.
Next step. Cartomizers. I ordered some from madvapes cuz I live out in the woods and it's an hour drive to go see anyone I know. Re-filling carts at 60 mph was starting to get a little dangerous and I wanted something that held more juice for the drive.
I'm vaping my menthol from the carto right now at 3.7 volts and I'm pretty impressed. These little things seem to out perform the HV 510 attys on flavor. I can taste the menthol again. The vapor seems warmer and I think I'm kinda getting a little head rush (my imagination?)
I don't know, this might make me use my 510 mod more. Kinda like it.

Hey Drozd, do you recommend using these 510 cartos at 6 volts? I screwed it onto my mod with 2, CR123s in it first and it tasted kind burnt. I was afraid I'd burn up the carto too quick at 6V.

I've not used the 510 cartos...I didn't like the look of the quality of them to be honest...

I'm using vapornine turbo KR808 cartos on an adapter at 6V...been using the same 5 for about a month now..originally 6 of them and well have only lost one (and that was my fault...I accidentally shorted it (with a stainless drip tip on it(the wire stuck up too far and contacted the tip))

right...I also like the fact that with the right adapter...you can adjust the airflow and draw "tightness" of the 808 cartos..
so at 6V..with a drip tip and the airflow tweaked...they are pretty awesome...

(or as I've been goofing around with it....some silicone tubing going into the softcap of the carto and into a drip tip at the other end...it's kinda a 6V hookah...that I can set on the deask and push the button and hit)

Ok I have been using the Ego kit that I got from Cignot with atty and cartridges at first then when I was having trouble getting a good taste I started doing some dripping to see if that helped. I have been going back and forth between dripping at home and cartridges that I prefill at home for when I am out somewhere.
I would like something that I don't have to fill every time I turn around so that is one reason I was interested in the cartomizers. Since you have said they are so inexpensive, I am very tempted to try them now that I know I can use them with my Ego as well. I wasn't sure if I could use my Ego or not with the cartomizer.
Lots to ponder over LOL

Thanks for the info DC2. I too like the good hit of getting it straight from dripping but when I am out and about and its not convenient to drip constantly I need an alternative.
I am going to take a look at the link you gave me, thanks again.
One thing, for all who have posted. For a newbie there is a world of info and a lot of tech info on the different voltages and what not on what you can use. It can get to be like trying to read another language! LOL. So please remember that there are those of us who havent a clue as to what a 6v or a 3.7v or so forth is hehe.

Drozd, I would be very interested to know how you adjust the draw on an 808. I've almost quit using those cartos because of issues of a much too tight draw after two or three refills.

I believe there is one type of adapter that allows adjustment, it involves screwing the center pin in.....one thing to check is the vinyl wrapper.....I frequently find they are not lined up properly and the vinyl covers the four air notches.....use a razor sharp knife to cut the wrapper back a bit....
