I've been doing a lot of experimenting lately switching between the two LR cartomizers and CE2 type products.
I had hoped a wick type/CE2 product with any technical problems resolved would be vaping Nirvana. Turns out it is not (for me anyway.) I can get a clean, consistant, tasty vape from the wicked product with the convenience of 3ml+ BUT I'm telling ya there is something way different. The amount of vapor may seem comparable but the cartomizer vape is WAY denser and just that much more flavorful.
If I take 10 massive consecutive hits on a good LR carto, I'm approcahing max amount of nicotine my body likes.
Wick type products I can pretty much vape non stop without this happening (for practical purposes lets say 2ml in one sitting.)
I guess it makes sense technically that no current wick design can provide the same area of juice to hit in one instant that a good cart can. What will likely keep me using these new CE2 types is the convenience and how clean tasting the vape is.
