Ive been thinking about trying some 510 cartomizers on my ego due to many recommendations, but I need to know a few things.
1. Can you clean the atty part of the cartomizer (like with mouthwash or a dry burn?)
2. If not, how long does the atty last?
3. How long can you vape before refilling compared to a regular cart?
4. How many times can you refill the cartomizer before the filler gets all nasty and unusable?
5. Can you change the filler? (blue foam, polyfil, etc.)

Many of my comments will be based on my experience (first- and second-hand) with the Kr8 cartomizer. I believe that they are applicable to the 510 carto as well, but I encourage any other expert here to chime in.

1. Can you clean the atty part of the cartomizer (like with mouthwash or a dry burn?) - I suppose, but it would be a pain in the ..... They're inexpensive enough to throw away after they become gunked up.

2. If not, how long does the atty last? - Typically, it is good for several (two to five perhaps) refills before tasting yucky.

3. How long can you vape before refilling compared to a regular cart? - Longer. The carto holds more than the regular 510 cart. The hard black cartomizers (e.g., from LiquidXpress, LiteCigUSA, VaporKings, or ElectroNicStix) hold more than the soft tan ones (e.g., from Nhaler).

4. How many times can you refill the cartomizer before the filler gets all nasty and unusable? - Same as above, i.e., several (two to five) times.

5. Can you change the filler? (blue foam, polyfil, etc.) - I suppose, but there is no need to. Cartomizers more effectively deliver e-liquid to the atomizer than any other cartridge-atomizer combination. In a sense, they come pre-modded.
