Another one jumping on the carto-wagon...

I've just pre-ordered two expensive battery mods (The Spade & The BB"), and I have deceided that I simply cannot tolerate the thought of my 510 carts ...... juice all over them when they get here...it's just not an option.

So I am waiting for nice stash of cartomizers and 510 to KR808 adaptors that I also ordered...should all be here in just over a week. :)

I´m seriously thinking about getting myself the DSE905 instead of the 380mAh batteries from Healthcabin. Problem is, will it work with a cartomizer?

It will not work out of the package, cartomizers need the center hole for air intake and 905 has it sealed.

The solution is simple: get the 901 charging adapter from the same vendor (just a tube with a atty and batt connector on it) and drill a hole at half the length of the tube.

You mean halfway lenghtwise? All the way through or just one side? Sounds like a great idea thanks!

I have the 905 and cartomizers work without an adapter on mine.

How did you get this to work?

I have the 905 and you can't use cartomizers with it. The cartomizer will fit, but there is NOT enough airflow for it to work.

I have to use a 901->510 connector and then a 510 -->808/901 connector.

hey, i sometimes use kr808 battery on a 901 atty, it is sealed.
my question is how easy is it to refill the cartomizers? do the cartomizers last longer than a 510, or 901 cart? no way would it last as long as a 801...
yeah, ive read the board and i dont get the sense of it being quick. or easy.
i`m stalling on a juice and atty order thinking about this.

I have the DSE905 V2 and the carto does work.. but the draw is really hard. Because there are no holes near the edge of the batteries.

A normal K5808 battery has 4 small holes near the threads. The adapter I use has 2 larger holes in the threads.

Have you guys notice any difference in taste or flavors? The 905 voltage is 3.7 while the kr batteries are 4.0-4.1 volts. The taste on a kr battery is a lot better than the 905.

I am considering selling my 905 and getting the mega kr battery instead.

I started with an NJoy NCig, which is an RN4071 (i think), which is basically an 801 clone. I used lots of 801 carts on it.

The KR cartos last at least 2 or 3 times longer than the 801 carts.

Refilling a cartos is a little more difficult, but it has the advantage that you don't need to top off when you're on the go. You can carry a couple of cartos and an extra battery. When a carto starts to go, just screw on another one. Save the one you took off and refill it at home tonight while watching TV, or whatever.

Every KR808 battery/passthru has had a slightly different draw. # of holes really doesn't matter, it's the size of the holes that would effect air flow. I started with a manual battery adapter on a 901 and it had one hole, which was way to large! The draw was like sucking on a straw.

The lithium ion batteries used on ecigs are mostly rated at 3.7 volts (there are some 3 volt varieties), and have a peak voltage of 4+ volts. Larger batteries seem to hold that voltage for a little longer it seems.

Most of the good mods out there now have a way of using cartomizers. Alt Smoke's SB/BB both can use the 510-808 adapter. Puresmokers 901 adapters now support the 808 as well. But any of the mods should be able to work with a cartomizer now days with the use of the readily available adapter.

When I'm at home I mostly use my Prodigy and Puresmoker passthru. When on the go I use KR batteries and my Protege.
