Hello ECF,

So I have been vaping for about 4-5 months and use a pro-vari mini with my JonBoy Tank. I have been running boge SR cartos the whole time and never had any issues until recently. I get blanks so I punch them myself, I know how to prime them to perfection, and how they operate. My problem is this, about 3ml thru a carto or sometimes even less, I get a burnt taste and it just gets stronger the more I vape it. I punch usaully1 hole (was doing 2) and I know my problem is the juice isnt getting into the carto when its in my tank. The weird part is I am still usaully seeing air bubbles come thru the punch which should mean it's filling with liquid. I have been thru about 15-20 cartos at least all same result. Could it be my Orings? (Though they look new and awesome) Maybe the tank just isnt getting pressurized enough. Or is this simply just a wicking issue. I been using my RBA mostly, but as im on the go alot I like the cartos for the easiness factor. Please help guys, I got a crap load of cartos and some good juice and it just seems to be getting wasted.

There's alot of factors it can be and given what you said it's really hard to take a guess. Given that you've gone through 20 cartos with the same result, my guess would be the wick being of lower quality or possibly something of that sort. I know with certain types of wicks you can taste them on long drags. This could be something related. Try rebuilding with a different wire and wick.

What voltage are you running them at? Whats the pg\vg mix of the juice?
Try this next time. Set up your carto as you normally would. Start vaping away but pay close attention to the filler. If and when it looks white and dry reprime it. If this prevents your burning problems you have a wicking issue. If it doesnt you have the voltage to high. It has to be one of the to possibilitys.

I would try dripping into the carto and see if that stops the problem. If it does your cartos arent wicking. Try up to 3 holes and see if that helpps. If not change cartos to something like ikenvape fusions or platinums, See if that helps. A lot of times it is the cartos. There are quality issues with these cheap cartos no matter who makes them. You could always try out a iclear16 or the other bottom coil type tanks to see if you like those.. IMO they wont beat a rba built right but on the go, at least you have something that isnt giving you burnt , dry hits. I have a lot of trouble with cartos doing exactly what you are describing.. It is hte cartos, not the tank or orings,

i jumped into protanks and similar bottom coil because of being unhappy with cartos. granted i did not try alot of different brands. i'm now giving them another shot and looking for better cartomizers. protanks are ok but they bug me too sometimes. they get cranky when i leave the house for some reason. would like something that works consistent for 3-4 tanks of juice no matter temperature flucuations, don't leak, and can handle some abuse like in the car or camping etc. i've also noted lower voltage works best on the cartos i've used.

You seem to know what you're doing with cartos. That points at the carto, not your technique. With the several complaints lately about Boge SR's, seems to be they have a problem again.

Things you can do now is to try a vendor with a high turn-over (Surevapes, etc), and start the carto up at a very low temp.

Let your supplier know that there is a problem, for sure. Might get replacements. During the problem last year, Surevapes would not continue to sell them as others did.

ARE these from a different supplier than you've used before?? Is the eliquid a radically different type, and new to you??

OH, HECK, THIS IS AN OLD POST SOMEONE RESURRECTED!!!!
