Hi everyone. Gotta love ECF! So far, everyone here has been great! Just gotta say thanks, ahead of time!

Here we go... I've been vaping for maybe 6 months now and have decided to try cartos next. I've been through clearomizers, genesis and drip type devices and want to expand my horizons. Looking for comments to make sure I'm on track or completely wrong in my thinking. Hopefully, with all the reading and youtubing, I'm at least close!

The reasons I want to try cartos are, to my understanding, when prepped correctly, they are consistent. They also seem less work than the other types of vaping I have been trying.

I have a plan... I've ordered 15 smoktek Resurrector 1.7 cartos from CCV. If I like them, I'll order a tank or two (Phiniac, IBTanked or VVV glass) and order some pre-punched (2 hole) Smokteks and go from there. Eventually, I'll buy a punch and start doing my own and allow more flexibility, but for now, I want to keep it simple as possible.

Now the questions...

I use juice anywhere from 50/50 to 70/30ish (PG/VG). Will the 2 hole pre-punched Resurrectors be okay for that range? I believe they should be, but I just want to make sure when it comes time to order, because I'll order a bunch at a time and I don't want to find that they don't like my juice and then have to get rid of them.

Also, I have read the 1.7 was made for mechs, but most of the reviews I see, they are using it on VV/VW PV's. I would like to use my mechs if possible. Anyone with experiences/opinions with this?

BTW, I went Smoktech rather than Boge only because I've heard of QC complaints with Boge and the reviews find them comparable. No other reason. I'm sure if I like cartos, I'll eventually do my rounds on many different kinds!

I've tried pretty much everything and still end up using cartos in a few Texas Tough Tanks more than anything. It's just less work overall and as you said, the most consistent for me.

As BlueSnake said, those cartos should be just fine for you.

As it's become less cost prohibitive for the masses to obtain VV/VW devices, those devices have become a lot more prevalent. The biggest advantage IMHO is the ability to fine tune things and always get the same performance between charges. It's also nice to be able to use virtually anything regardless of resistance (excluding the super low ohm coils a lot of people have come to favor lately of course).

Whatever works best for you is the best there is in my book.

Always liked the Jantry ego XL cartomizers with the whistle tip.

Better flavor than the ego-t tanks, hold more, last forever, make my pv an inch shorter, never leak and can be washed out and re-used about 3 times or re-filled many times with same liquid without washing lots of times before they die.

Wondering if clearomizers any better or should just stick with them.

In my limited experience, I would say that a good clearomizer (I have tried 4-5 styles), in my humble opinion have ever so slightly cleaner taste. Some say that cartos color the taste slightly and I would agree with that, although I wouldn't say it is bad, just different.

In order of taste preference, I would go RDA, RBA, clearomizer then carto. BUT, I can't drip all the time. I use dripping to try new juices. RBAs I just can't build consistent enough to make them good all the time, but I'm still trying. Tanks are great, but I have had them leak and gurgle, which can be quite annoying. It is especially bad where I live due to the summer heat expanding the air in the tank and pushing the juice out the holes.

Now, I get to cartos, which I list at the bottom of the taste food chain. Well, they are not really at the bottom. I'm still experimenting, but I've found them to be pretty darn great! Maybe not as pure tasting as some of the other delivery methods, but more convenient and consistent. Plumes of vapor and great taste.

Again, I'm no expert and I have boatloads to learn, but this is what I've found so far. I have not tried a wide variety of gadgets, so my gear may be a limiting factor, especially with the RDA/RBAs. They have quite an interesting learning curve but reward you nicely when you get it right.

My thing right now is the carto seems to be the balance between flavor and convenience. The Smoktech 1.7 ohm cartos are treating me well so far. I ordered a tank and punch, so I won't even have to mess with filling even less!
