I tried cartos for the first time yesterday on my eGo. They were the 510 cartos rather than the eGo cartos. They just seem easier to deal with when it comes to refilling because you can use the condom method.

One question though. Whey are they so much less expensive than attys? I am still using attys that I've had for almost two months and they are still going strong. For those of you who have been using cartos for a while, how long have they lasted you on average?

I'm wondering because I like that I don't have to blow out/dry burn and I don't have to deal with flavor overlap. On the other hand, these attys have lasted a good while now, especially considering that I am a chain vaper. I got 5 cartos for $9.00 from madvapes, but I wonder if they are as cost-effective as attys in the long run.

The cartos are cheaper because they are *supposed* to be disposable. Most of us that use them though tend to boil them out and reuse them. I personally use the 808 carts but imagine it's not much different with the 510s. The longest I've had one keep going is about two weeks I think. The shortest has been a couple of days... I think I average about a week or so. When I get a number of them that quit producing I soak them in PGA to get the old flavors out and then boil them sans caps for about 15 minutes. I then dump the caps in the water after I've turned it off and removed the carts, which are then drained and put in a low heat oven to dry. I know, not much different than cleaning attys, but I like that I can use close to a ml of juice at a time. Not to mention I'm notorious for forgetting things, like burning off primer. :p

I don't think I'll ever buy another atomizer. I just enjoy cartos so much better and they are way more convenient if you are a busy person like I am. I boil mine and blow them out and let them dry for 24 hours and can usually squeeze a couple of weeks out of them. Better flavor plus convenience makes up for the awww factor when it's time to throw them out.
