Hi I'm pretty new to vaping and I have a Kamry k100 right now. It comes with 2 cartomizers but I want to put an Igo-w rda on it because Ive used friends vapes and I prefer an rda. My questions are will an RDA put off more vapor then a cartomizer? Can I put the stock mouthpiece on the rda? What difference will an RDA make as far as nicotine level goes?

Hi Connorcloud and welcome to the forum!

Before I answer your questions, I have a few of my own.

Have you built coils before? Do you have an ohm meter to check them for shorts before you put them on an unregulated battery? How familiar are you with ohms law?

If not, here is some suggested reading that I highly urge you to study and understand before building coils on an RDA:

For info on batteries Baditude has several excellent blog posts on the subject. His blogs on battery safety are a must read before you venture into the world of sub-ohm vaping or building coils for a mech mod.

Reliable sources for batteries:
Batteries-Chargers-Flashlights-Only The Best
Authentic AW Batteries - RTD Vapor
Illumn.com - Flashlights, Batteries, Carry Gear, Intelligent LED Lighting, and More!

Do not buy batteries from eBay or Amazon. Some of their third party sellers sell fakes.

... and finally, here's a link that explains things in pretty simple terms: Vaping Battery Safety & Ohms Law Illustarted and explained in very simple terms

Now - for your questions:

Yes, a properly-built RDA will put off more vapor than a cartomizer. It takes some practice to get it down right, but it's worth it in the end.

You'll find that you'll most likely have to cut the nic level of the juice you use in a dripper. The usual advice is to start at half of what you use in a cartomizer or tank.

Hope that helps and Happy (and safe) Vaping!

Is there a way to know if my current charger is ok to use? And how necessary is an ohm meter?

Regarding chargers: From Baditudes Blog (he's our resident battery/safety expert).

* Battery Chargers. Get the best charger that you can reasonably afford. Statistically most battery incidents occur while charging. Pila, Xtar, and Nitecore Intellicharger are the most recommended brands.

An ohm reader (or DMM) is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY if you are rebuilding. Not know the resistance of your build BEFORE putting it on a mechanical mod would be like a blind person driving a car. You would have no way of knowing if you had a short.
