Cartridges?

Hey guys,

I'm sorry if I've missed something when going through the stickies, but I have gone 24 hours without a cig and it's messing with my brain! haha

I just ordered a JOYE eGo, and also ordered some juice while I was at it. The thing I don't understand is if I also need to buy something so that I can actually use the juice? I see the eGo comes with "Joye eGo 2.5ml/1.5ml cartridges (Marl High) 5 pc", but do I need a cartomizer or something so that I can use the juice?

The kit you ordered comes with cartridges that can be refilled so you will have what you need to get started. The problem I've found with the cartridges is that they need to be refilled often which for me is an inconvenience. During the workday I don't want to have to mess with refilling cartridges so I have been using mostly cartomizers which hold more liquid. This is simply a personal choice. To be honest, half the fun of vaping has been experimenting with all the different options. The eGo is perfectly suited for this type of experimentation since it is compatible with many options.

the cartridge goes on over the atomizer which should be supplied with the eGo.

A cartomiser is the atomiser and cartridge put together.

Yep, you'll get carts with your kit. But like tigerlily I moved to cartomisers for the reasons stated.

However, when I used carts I use to fill 5 of an evening ready for the next day. When one runs out I just pull that one off and put a fresh one on. No messing around.

I do exactly the same with cartos but I only prefill 3 of those.

BTW: I use the Boge Soft Tip cartos and they work well.

Just a thought for you.
Cartomizers, IMO, is the best to start out with and then later on to atomizers and dripping.
BUT.....
there is a difference in cartomizers. Some you have to fill, removing plastic parts and using a needle to get the juice in it, alot of work and kinda a pain
Others, you remove soft tip and drop juice directly into the edges of the filling, very easy.
So my thoughts is to find ones with a soft tip and they are much easier to use and probably NOT go with any LR (low resistance)
at this point (read and learn about LR cartos and whether your ego can handle them)

What granny says is truth. The Boge 510 2ohm cartomizers work beautifully with an eGo, and are really easy to fill/refill. That is my every day set up.

MJW, just keep it simple at the start, use what you get with the kit, carts+ attys. Cartomisers (cartos) can be your next question.

hey guys,

thanks for all the responses. though some have left me a little confused...

The thing about LR is confusing because my eGo said it comes with LR atomizers. And someone just said that this will make things more complicated? I did a bit of reading before I ordered but I am probably more confused now than to begin with haha.

Someone also said that I should get some blue stuffing thing to absorb the juice. Is this for cartos or cartimizers? And is it really necessary?

I have heard mixed things through my readings... And if you do import your juice and stuff how long do you find it usually takes? (I've ordered everything through health cabin fwiw).

You shouldn't have any issues with importing juices and gear.

Basically, the electronic components are unrestricted but as you know it's illegal to sell juice containing nicotene here in Australia.

However, there is an exemption under the TGA Act that allows you to import medicines etc for your own use and nicotine falls under that exemption. You are allowed to import up to 3 months supply and no more than 15 months supply in a 12 month period.

Anyway unless you've ordered gallons of the stuff you should be right.

I haven't had a problem in 8 months although a couple of packages have been opened by customs for inspection. This usually causes about a 5 day delay.

I started with the carts, went to cartos then tried drip. I ended up back with carts and just filling up once in the morning and adding a couple drops as needed throughout the day as needed. for me, it is the easiest way to do it.
