my question is after buying blank cartridges and filling them how long does it take before requiring to fill them back up or topping them off?
ive burned a few from letting them run dry (im new to this stuff) and dont see why you cant reuse them if properly maintained
any tips or suggestions greatly appreciated thanks
ive been putting 3 -4 drops in every hour or so

What e-cig do you have? On my 510 I used to put a few drops in every 10 - 20 drags. Carts aren't too great at feeding your atomizers. What I'd reccommend you do, if you have the patience or are able to, is directly drip 1 - 2 drops right in the atomizer every 10 draws or so and it should be a much better experience.

It's better to keep the carts quite well filled as much as you can. I used to use a pin to push the filling around to let the liquid get to the very bottom too.

Well, first let's determine what type you are using. Are you using cartridges or cartomizers. Cartridges have a separate atomizer that they plug into. Cartomizers have the atomizer built in to it.

Whichever one you are using, 3-4 drops every hour or so may not be enough. For cartridges, you want to put enough juice in it so that it looks a little "slushy" at the top, but not pooling. Usually takes about 8-10 drops after the initial filling. That should last a heavy vaper 45 minutes to an hour.

If you are using cartomizers, well a 510 cartomizer can hold up to 20 drops and should last a good bit longer.

As far as the life span of cartridges, they can last indefinitely.....it's the atomizer that deteriorates or burns or clogs after a certain period of time.

Cartomizers however are not designed to last as long as atomizers and should be kept fairly saturated with juice thru out their life span which ranges from a couple of refills to 14 refills and beyond depending on other factors.
