Do you find that most cartridges are interchangable with other e-cigs?

Having bought our initial e-cig from anytime electronic cigarettes (certainly not recommending them just mentioning in case anyone wants to see what type of carts they are!!) we had a truck load of carts which we bought with it. As you may have seen from my other posts we are looking at buying another brand of e-cig but I am wondering if we are going to be able to use these carts we aready have with another brand?

Also, is there a difference in quality between some makes and their carts? I only ask as these carts were fine when my hubby started using them but when we have refillled them he sometimes gets liquid in his mouth (this could be due to our filling though possibly, although I fill them all the same and it only happens with some carts).

Many thanks

Lynda

My recomendation would be to scrap the carts and just move on to a 510 or kr808. I don't know what model that is, but it says its using water based liquid. If that worked everyone would be using it. Some one will know better than me on that model, but the 510 and 808 are what I use and i like them both. Those carts wouldn't work on either tho.

Hi.

Thanks for the reply. I hadn't noticed that about the water in the carts (although it does say it has PG as well), maybe this is why we are not having any joy with refilling.

I have heard a lot about the 510 but what make is this? If I type '510' in google I get Joye and Titan coming up! Which is it?

Thanks again

Lynda
They are both the same with different names Joye actually makes them and Titian is just a rebrand. Cignot is usually who is recommended here, I got mine from Strictlyejuice, both are about the same price. I here good things about Cignot and had excellent dealings with Strictlyejuice.

The 808 is a little less fuss, you don't have to refill as much, for that I would recommend Cigeasy or V4L.

Edit: Those are US companies, I forget the names of UK distributors.

Both Joye and Titan are 510's. Joye is the main manufacturer and Titan is the name of the Joye 510 sold by Totally Wicked. There is also Janty's Dura C (also a Joye). iVapour.com is Janty in the Uk. A hot seller right now is the Tornado from Totally Wicked which uses the good 510 atomizer and has a battery that lasts 6-7 hours per charge:

Wicked-TORNADO E-NI or Electronic Nicotine Inhalator Black

Also comes in white and platinum....

Same ecig called the eGo from Janty:

Janty eGo Set - Janty eGo

Both are reputable companies.

The Titan and Dura C are ecig kits for a bit less but the batteries need recharging about every 1-2 hours. There are PCC's - personal charging cases that you can get that charges the batteries 'on the go' but imo, the Tornado or eGo is the better deal - each come with 2 batteries and so if you leave home with 2 fully charged batteries - depending on how much you vape, you should be good for all day +.

EEk, now I'm even more confused!! (Doesn't take much, I'm blonde!). I am trying now to figure out what the difference is between the Titan and the Tornado! Is it just the battery life? The Tornado says it takes atomized cartridges so are these still refillable? Could I use the Titan PCC with the Tornado batteries? I like the fact that you get a case with the PCC as hubby is not known for taking care of things!! LOL!

Get the eGo, and get a Janty set, as the Tornardo set comes with a very slow charger, you have to pay extra for the fast charger. IVapour expects them back in stock tomorrow, not sure about other UK companies. Janty Europe has them in stock, too.

The eGo is only a few milimetres longer than the 510, but the battery lasts considerably longer, and the cone is neat, too. And I find the eGo is still good to hold between your teeth when you need your hands free. If you buy a 510 instead, and decide later to get an eGo, you can still use the atties, the charger with an adapter, and the 510 batteries as backup. But with an eGo, you can safe the money for PCCs and PTs and the like.

The mega batteries need their own mega PCC, they won't fit into a normal one. Below is a side-by-side comparison between a normal 510, an eGo, and a 510 with mega battery.

Can't use the PCC with the tornado batteries. But again, you wouldn't need the PCC if you got the tornado.

Hey AlexTM, as a new vaper, this picture is very helpful. I wish there was a place in the forum where new users could go to see good comparative photo's like this with labels showing what's what. That would be so helpful, don't you think?:)

Go read DonDaBoomVapes' The Wonderful World of Vaping 6 part series (site won't let me post the URL cause I'm a newbie). It is located in the ECF Library and is a wonderful, illustrated overview of all things e-cig. Helped me alot, especially, I think, since I discovered it after I'd been researching for a while and already had some of the lingo down. On that note, it took me a while to notice that many of the abbreviations in posts have a little underline that you can click to see the full term the abbreviation refers too. Good luck to you!

Someone should extract out of that 'book' - just the pictures of ecigs, like Elendil's old post of just the pictures, so they don't have to wade through the rest. I think much of the 'overwhelm' reported here, is from too much data - it's good stuff, but a bit much for a total newbie.

I agree. As I said, I think I benefitted from finding it AFTER I'd already gotten comfortable with alot of the lingo, models, etc. Thanks for all you do, Kent C. You've been a big help on my journey.;)
