Okay, well, for the longest time I used the standard carts with the fluvall, and refilled them, then I noticed they barely wicked and I had to refill them CONSTANTLY.. then I got these,

Smart Cart (tank cartridge - 510/EGO/TREX) | Buy E-Cigarette Kits, E-Liquid & Accessories online | KingpincigsKingPin E-Cigarettes | Electronic Cigarette Accessories

and they worked great, but broke alot. i have one working one left and i'm having the same problem with the wicking. i cut off half the fluvall that's stuck in the end usually, but then i was having the problem of all the juice flooding the atomizer at once, so i tweaked the amount of fluvall and now I can't find that happy medium. when i get a good hit it's hot and it tastes like burned fluvall or something, gross..

i actually opened a pack of analogs since i've had a carton in the freezer FOREVER because i wasn't getting satisfaction from my e-cig anymore. i still have half a pack after 2 days but I do not want to smell like smoke or get back into that nasty habit.. (smoked 2+ packs a day at one point!) soo...

i decided to just drip on the atty, and put an empty whistle tip over it and WOW that tastes clean. the only problem being, obviously, the inconvenience of dripping all the time in public.

and i really cannot stand that hot, burned fluvall taste at all..

so i made this thread basically to ask a few questions.

1.) Is there a special tank cart I can buy that works well?
2.) are there any suggestions for tweaking the regular carts or the smart carts that may alleviate this problem?
3.) Is it worth it to get a drip tip? from what i understand a lot of people just drip on the atty and put the tip on, well, i can use a whistle tip for that, so I dunno. does it make that much of a difference?

Thanks for your help. :2cool:

the best thing i used for just regular carts (not tank) was marineland blue foam rite size U from petco. it comes in a package of three sleeves and you just cut it down to the size you need. a package will last a life time. it never burned and wicked really well

Ooh I forgot about the blue foam. I've heard about it but never seen any. I think I might run up to Petco today. tell me this though, does that hold enough liquid? I found that with the fluvall it can only hold like 5 drops or something ridiculous, yet it stays saturated with juice that never makes it to the atty.

Oh also, I'm thinking about buying this along with a drip tip. I've been working on this 60 mL bottle of MadVapes 36 mg Cola for a while now and I have to say I'm extremely tired of it. it's a good flavor it just gets old.

it depends if you are using the whistle tip or round ended carts. whistle-9 drops, if i remember right. round more like 13.

you can just move on too a ce2 tank or another kind of tank to hold liquid, but that will bring another learning curve etc.

I now use bottom feeders and will never go back. I only don't use them when i am using the super mini glv, and for that i picked up the resurrector cartomizers from crystal clear vaping because they hold 1.2 ml

drip tip is a good idea! and pick up some more flavors from somewhere.
