I placed my first ever CJMR order 3 weeks ago. I had been dawdling on it for 6-8 months now because every time I need juice, I need it then and his wait times were 2 weeks at the time. I had read that he was shipping very quickly, so I decided to give it a shot.

I ordered around 10-11 AM Monday morning and I think it shipped that Thursday which was fine. I would have received it that Monday, but I got it delivered to work. The shipping label didn't specify the room number so USPS had problems getting it to me. I finally got them on Thursday after sending a message to USPS.

I ordered Murica (Apple Pie), Gold Rush (Butterscotch Custard), and Blue Slush.

I was concerned about the wicking because I only use tanks (a KFL) and the juice is 20/80, but I usually get my juice from ITC Vapes which uses a 60/40 and I've had no issues.

Let me preface this by saying I guess I'm picky cuz I don't like much stuff. I've tried 25 flavors at MBV and liked about 4-5 of them. Probably five more were vapeable, and the rest I would never touch again.

I've tried like 20 flavors at ITC, and I really liked one, just liked about 4-5 more, and the rest are mostly vapeable, but I'm not one to force stuff down my throat if I don't like it.

I tried about 5 flavors from Vape Wild. All were disgusting and unvapeable. One literally makes me gag every time I try it.

I tried 5 flavors from Ohms Vapes. All were meh. All vapeable, but I didn't like any of them. They all have the same undertone to them. Can't describe it exactly.

For CJMR:
I tried Murica the first weekend. I guess it was about a week since creation. The apple pie flavor was very weak. The flavor was alright I guess. It wicked okay, but being a 20/80 the throat hit was much weaker than I'm used to. Incomplete on this, but probably leaning towards a meh.

The next week I tried Gold Rush. It was pleasant, but also a little weak on flavor. It reminded me of other custards I've tried before. Kinda like ITC's Cinnagram Custard which I really liked at first but got tired of. I chalked that up to lack of steep time as well. If the flavor came in a little more I could tell you if I liked it or not. For now, I would say this flavor has promise.

One thing about the Gold Rush is that it really stinks up a room. I was smelling butterscotch for hours after my last hit of it. Very potent smelling.

Tonight I tried Blue Slush after about 3 weeks of steeping. The flavor is stronger than the first two bottles, but still on the weak side. However, the flavors that I am getting are really good. I think I'm going to like this one a lot if the flavors come all the way through. The weird thing about this juice though is that I've gotten dry hits from it. It's the same 20/80 that the other bottles wicked fine with. I took my KFL apart and moved the wicks closer to the deck and away from the holes and it did help. I still think I'm getting an occasional dry hit, but if I need to primer puff this every time, I'd probably still do it.

What's impressive is that with a flavor like Blue Slush from a cheaper vendor like MBV, the juice would always taste like disinfectant. I'm glad that it doesn't.

Looks like I'm getting a dry hit about every third chain vape hit. I'll experiment a bit.

But for now, CJMR gets a thumbs up from me, at least for their Blue Slush. Just recognize that these flavors are gonna be potent, and if you're not in a well circulated room it's going to stink of the flavor you're vaping. I don't think I've had that problem before.

Should I expect dry hits like this in a Kayfun Lite Plus v2 though? I've tried diluting stuff before and always fail at it. I'd rather not with this stuff. I have some distilled water and the cheapest vodka 40% alcohol I could get on hand if need be.

Edit: This is discouraging. I'm getting dry hits often with this. I use my KFL as my primary and pretty much only tank, but I do have a subtank with the v2 RBA if necessary.

Blue Slush is my absolute favorite from them. I run it in my Crown and it's awesome.

A Kayfun lite plus V2 is not what you want to use with an 20/80 ratio imo , thats asking a lot .

Got a bottle of Gold Rush in the mail today. It's not very good, i'd rate 5 out of 10, barely mediocre. Has a cologne-ish undertone. Would not buy again. Fast shipping though.

So you got a bottle of juice and you've already written it off as something you'll be throwing away? You do realize that juices undergo a process known as "steeping", where the flavor can change immensely, right? Give it a couple weeks, at least.

I've had juice ('Merica comes to mind) where I wasn't very impressed until a MONTH in, when suddenly I was in love and reordering more.

What build are you using? I had trouble with dry hits in my KFL+ v2 when I switched to max vg(at least with some thicker ones) until I bumped up the inside diameter on my coils from 2mm to 2.4mm(28g, ~10 wraps), wicking still needs to be good(right amount in coil, ends of wick just barely touching the deck, channels not blocked) but it doesn't have to be perfect.

Now that I have it figured out all I use is max vg with my KFL.

Haven't had a chance to try a new coil yet. I'm giving the juice a little more time to steep. Today I transferred 30ml to a separate bottle and put it in front of my heater for 20 mins. The heat steep works in some cases, sometimes better than others.

I usually do a 2mm 1.2ohm kayfun build. I'm gonna try the wick barely hitting the deck build next and see what happens. In the past, this build hasn't worked very well for me. I'd be getting dry hits even with 50/50. My regular wick and coil build has been pretty forgiving for the past year and a half. I've tried thick/thin wicks and they'll all work well for at least a day. I usually rebuild every 1-2 days. My builds don't last more than 2.5 days typically due to the dark, sweet juices I use. With cheap wick and wire, and a few minutes a day, I always have a pretty fresh build to vape on.

Murica might not make the regular rotation. Gold Rush might, depending on how it tastes with a little more time. I know custards in particular need at least 3-4 weeks to reach full potential.

Anyone else use heat/hot water steeping with their CJMR liquids? I used Max VG once with my ADV, and though the clouds were pretty impressive, I never got the flavor in an equivalent 50/50. I'm not a cloud chaser, it's all about flavor with me.

I used to use a 3/32 drill bit sometimes at 1.7 ohms, but switched down to my current 5/64 build a while ago. I didn't really notice a difference either way. One would think that with a thicker wick to saturate, that it would lead to more dry hits.

I'm not one to take one big lung hit, then pause for a few seconds. I'm definitely a tootle puffer that takes a bunch of quick short hits.

I think a bigger coil with more cotton wicks at the same rate but holds more liquid so it doesn't dry out as fast, whatever the reason I found it to be a night and day difference.

By barely touching the deck I just mean that it's touching but not smashed against it, you want the cut part of the fiber touching the deck but not bent at all for the best capillary action. I like to cut the wick, wet it, and place it(kind of paste it against the side) before I put the lower chimney section on. I know some people put the lower section on and then cut it and stuff it down in there but that never worked well for me.

I've definitely heard people say that high vg mutes flavor, too much pg dries out my mouth which kills the flavor so I get better flavor with max vg but everyone is different.

I did steep it. Used a warm water process. There was no custard like taste to it. It has an almost cologne like aftertaste, even after steeping. I have no angle here. It isn't very good. I wanted it to be good (obviously) but it isn't. People who are thinking about buying Gold Rush And think they're getting a butterscotch custard vape should know this.
