CCELL GD alternatives for Target Mini Starter Kit

Hi all,

I'm a fairly new to vaping. I have a Melo III, and a Target Mini, standard with no mods. Using the coils which came with them, they worked fine. Now however, when I change coils, in both of them, I can get nothing but a throat burning chemical taste out of them.

Looking online I can see that many people have had similar issues. Here are the specs for the replacement coils I bought online...

For the Melo III...
Original Eleaf iJust 2 atomizer head 0.3ohm 0.5ohm EC Head ECL 0.18ohm Head for Ijust 2 iJust S Atomizer

For the Target Mini...
100% Original Vaporesso Target Mini cCELL GD Coil 0.6ohm 0.5ohm CCELL-GD Ceramic Coil fit for Guardian tank Target Mini

I have used three new coils for each now, without any success. Still only seem to get dry, or semi dry hits, with a burnt chemical taste that makes me cough.

I prime them carefully to make sure they're well juiced, take a few dry hits, let them stand after filling the tank, and all the other tips which I've learnt from Youtube videos and forums.

I really want to be able to vape again, and the current coils aren't going to let me do that. Anyone know anymore about this, or if I'm doing something stupid without knowing?

Uploaded a photo of the replacement coils I have, including packaging.

My main question is, are there other coils, tried and tested preferably, which will be compatible with the Melo III, or the Target Mini?

I have used the Melo III before and never had any issues. What mod are you placing it on. Have you checked your wattage to make sure it's OK?

Get a Smok Baby Beast for your Target Mini.
I know the wattage is under the recommended best range, but I LOVE it on my T Mini! Clouds for days, flavor is just as good if not better than the Guardian, and you have way more coil options.
Plus, adding liquid is SO much easier than the Guardian.

Try ccell or isticks ceramic coils. Use in tc mode...thats how i like mine.

First off need to figure out if your doing something wrong if you are buying new coils isn't going to fix the problem. What watts are you vaping at? Need to start low then slowly work your way up to what ever watts you like to vape st.

I'm having the same problem. I bought a Melo 3 last week and I've gone through 4 tanks, but half of that was just painful, gag inducing dry hits.

I'm using the included 0.5 coil, started with my usual wattage 45w. I turned to a local facebook vaping group for help and they told me that I'm CRAZY for vaping at 45w with the EC .5 coil, and that I should keep it below the 3.70v (28.5w), well, it does help, but it's not warm enough, and there are still dry hits every now and then.

The coil does say that the recommended wattage is 30-70w.

As I said previously, I've been vaping on 45 for at least a year (with my eGrip2 on a .5 coil, Cleito .4 coil, and on my Aspire Plato with a .4 coil, and)

I was looking for a new atomizer focused on flavor, stock coils, and made for dummies and asked for suggestions, the sales dude from my main vape shop told me Melo 3 would be a hassle free experience. I'm so frustrated.

My preference are the Vaperaso ceramic, which I end up taking apart and rebuilding

Note: all of these coils are near identical and most are easily taken apart and can be rebuilt, and to be honest, every one of the rebuilds Ive done are better than factory made. I support them enough that I made a image guide about this: Vaperrasso cCell rebuilding

I found the EUC ceramics from Vaporesso better than expected. Put it in a BVC sleeve and it fits all the Atlantis style tanks.

What is the pg/vg ratio in your ejuice? If it is max vg then that may be where the problem is, the juice can't feed quick enough for your vaping style.

And just because the coil has a rating written it for the watts doesn't mean that you have to use it in that range. These ratings have been found to be not too reliable.
