This carto is made like an atty. I got some about two weeks ago. I guess they are revision 3. They are ceramic. Some don't wick worth a damn but that might be caused by not cleaning and burning them off before first use. These come with the nasty primer you have to burn off. I'm thinking that if not burned off, the primer close to the coil crystalizes and causes the wicking problem. I'm still looking at that issue.

The thread on the carto page that's now about 60 pages long tell all about it and the mods peeps are doing. Per the thead I've been taking the cup cover off and leaving it off. I only put back the center washer. It will leak if on it's side but I keep mine upright.

You MUST take all the rubber stuff out and soak in very hot water and do a bunch of dry burns to get the primer burned off. If you don't do this chances are it will be nasty and may not ever clear out. Pry the cup fill cover off with a pair of tweezers or dental pick for leverage. Just pick at it from all sides and it'll come right out. There is no glue holding it in.

I tried the Pyramid Tea Bag PTB mod but it doesn't seem to help much, at least with a short peice of PTB. There is supposed to be rev 4 with no primer but they aren't going to mess with the wick I hear.

I'm using them because the wick does not burn at least, so it's the best carto out there right now. I fill by letting the juice run down the side of the carto until it is up to the slot in the ceramic cup. Works ok like that I guess. No needle to mess with then.

To keep the coil wet, a lot of times I have to shoot juice to it with my Wetbox. It works good like that though. You can also tilt the carto to make the juice run up to the cup and wick. I find that you have to keep them pretty full because of the wicking problem. But all you have to do is pop out the silicone washer and drip some juice down it like on a reg carto.

These and my Wetbox make a good pair until they can improve them some. All in all it's better than what we've had to work with.

:)

Edit Update:

What I mentioned above about the taste being due to not rinsing and burning them off:

One of the first that I just filled and vaped kept tasting bad. Last night I soaked it in hot water for about a half hour or more and used my modded turkey baster to shoot lots of the hot water through it. All of the rubber stuff was already out of it, btw. I let it dry overnight and today in front of a fan and dry burned it off several times. It now tastes good and I think it's wicking well too.
