Ce-x confusion and sourcing

OK,
So I'm building my mod, and love the idea of a tank mod. Now, i'll have enough bat AND enough juice to not have to refill or recharge all the dern time.

Anyway, I started reading the US Ce-2 supplier sticky, and started getting confused.
If you please:

Are ce-2's and ce-2xl's the same diameter?
Obviously versions are primarily improvements over the last version, but
what is the difference between ce-2 and ce-3? are there any others (newer, like 4 or 5)?

Where's the best place (in stock, good shipping) to get some ce-2's (or 3's,4's, or 5's, should I decide to)?
It's not necessary right this second, but I do want to do a tank mod eventually.

For a quick test and play, there's another thread in this forum right now about a syringe tank mod. Simply make sure the holes in your rubber grommets are large enough for a clearomizer, and make your own. You simply have to cut slits in the clearomizer. Also solves the problems of leaking, weakness, etc. The big advantage of the newest clearomizers is the tubes; the new ones hold up to hard juices better.

The regular and the xls should be the same diameter. The xls are simply longer.
