Hi sleepjean. DeXTeR is liable to come over to East Texas and slap me for all this "advice," but you might want to try this if you decide its necessary.

Take out the white mouthpiece part, remove the seal ring and then raise the fill ring just a little bit. Fill the CE2, leave the seal ring out and replace the white mouthpiece. This takes the pressure off the wicks and they wick a lot better.

I tried using a little piece of blue foam instead of the white filler material, but didn't have much luck with it.

I've actually taken the fill ring completely out, use my syringe to fill beside the ceramic cup, put the fill ring back in just a little bit and then put the mouthpiece back in.

I've found that a pick that you use to get the meat out of walnuts is ideal for removing the fill ring. Little bit of work, but its not hard.

Just try this on one to see if you like it. Sometimes I do get a little juice in my mouth if I over fill.

Its hard to tell if you got new cartos, old ones, or what. The manufacturer just sends stuff out and you can't blame the supplier. The clear ones are almost certainly new though and I haven't tried them yet. And it may be that you don't have to do anything to them.

I'll say this, I've heard a lot of people say they don't want to fool with the CE2's - that they want something that is going to work perfectly when they get it. And I can understand that. But f you don't mind doing a wee bit of tinkering, you are not going to beat the flavor, vape and th you get with the CE2's.

Hey TexasT, I went to Jo Anns Fabric store and bought the thinest batting material they had and it works great for filler, even better that the little filler square's that come with the CE2's, I just made sure it was polyester and not 100 percent cotton as cotton would clog I think. I'm a happy lady, now hoping the 808 XL CE2' come back in stock.

Tried 3 ohms. Filled one with 1 ml liquid. Feels nice for few drags. After that very less flavor and some burnt taste. I've tried inverting it few times before taking few puffs again. The flavor drops considerably. No consistent vape. I like the liquid RY4 though. Any tips? Shall I try 2.6~2.8? But still the same container and I am afraid it's going to be the same problem.

Sweet. With your super quick shipping to me in North Jersey you have quickly become my go-to guy for the CE2. Not to mention that a lot of other vendors have forsaken the stainless carto's since the clearomizer rage. Speaking of which, what have you heard about the new version of the clearomizer with a thicker clear tube?

On the way already Gulliverfoyle.

Sleepy jean, unfortunately the 808 XL are not on this order. Sorry. They will be on the next however.

Hey Dex, somehow I never got notified on this, I must have not set it to subscribe. I finally ended up going to ego cartomizers and then Ego-t tanks. So I'm not using them anymore. In fact, all my 808 and 510 C-E2's are up on the for sale board now. The first 2 I used were icky and tasted nasty, but the next couple were fine. About then I found the cartomizers and went to those.

I was looking at the mega clearomizers on your site though, and thinking about trying those.

Hiya Sleepy Jean! Hey, do you don't think my wife will look at me funny if I start ordering from Jo Ann's Fabric Store do you?

Ha, ha, this sounds good though and I'm going to give it a try.

Do you know I'm still using CE2's that I got from Vapor Junction last October or November? The shiney chrome is gone, but the cartos still work good.

Hey there Texas T, how's it going out there in Texas, we've had nothing but cloudy wheather and rain, sure waiting for spring to break through. I don't think you can get the really thin batting on line fron Jo Ann's, not sure though, it's so cheap, like a dollar something a yard, do you have a Jo Ann's or another fabric store near by that you can just go to the store and buy it, take your wife with you, haha. one thing I'v found is that you have to change it now and then, but what the heck, it's worth it. I'm still using some I got back in Nov too but have had to dump a few do to my burning them, I keep watching for some one to get the one's that fit the KR 808's in stock but it seem's no one is restocking them, getting a little nervous about that. If you can't find that batting, just PM me your address and I'll send you some of mine, I'v got plenty. Have a great day.

Your a sweetheart Sleepy Jean, and thanks. I'll find that material somewhere. I live so far out in the boonies that I have to drive 26 miles to get an Arby's! But I do make it to town every once in a while and I'll ask my wife to go in the fabric store.

It was 84 degrees here today, all the trees are budded out, the bee's are buzzing and all the birds are back. I've even mowed our lawn once. Love this time of year! But we sure are needing rain. We're way behind on that.

Hey shanewarne, believe it or not, you were the reason I ordered a bunch of the 3.0 ohm Clearomizers. I thought I might know what was causing the problems you were having, but I had to get some and try them to find out for sure.

This might sound a little extreme buddy, but give it a try on one and see what you think.

Take out the mouthpiece and then the little plastic seal ring. Next, remove the plastic part that has the little holes in it that you fill through. Its a little tough to get out but you can do it. I like to use one of those tools you pick the meat out of walnut shells with, but a large paper clip with a little hook at the end will do it too. Be careful not to apply leverage against the plastic tube or you'll crack it.

Now ... when you pulled out that plastic fill piece you pulled the insides of the carto up a little bit too. Push it back down so it is seated at the bottom. This is important.

Fill the carto with juice. Its real easy now ... and then take that little plastic seal ring and put it in with the rounded side facing down. Leave the bigger plastic fill ring out. Seat the little seal ring gently against the ceramic cup. A tiny bit above it is even better.

Now you can either replace the soft plastic mouthpiece or better, use the little soft plastic tip that is included in the box. I've found that some old 510 plastic drip tips fit real well and these are what I prefer to use.

shane, the 3 ohm Clearomizers will do you just right. With this little modification I think you'll find you get a lot of vapor, a ton of flavor and no burnt taste.

Hope this information helps you and if you have any questions please ask. I check in here at least three times a day.

shanewarne, I thought I'd better add a bit more about the CE2's. First, if you are using a juice with a high VG level it will not wick as well. Before doing what I outlined above you might want to consider a juice with less VG. Also, a thick, dark juice will wick slower than a light, clear juice.

CE2's need to be broken in very carefully. Easy, slow drags and keep the wick wet all the time (turn it over). If you use a variable voltage (vv) mod, set your mod to a lower voltage.

Some people like to take the fill ring out and make the wick holes larger and put them back in. The CE2 will leak if you turn it upside down after doing what I described in the first post.

There are some great Threads about the use and mods to CE2's here on ECF, just type CE2 in the search box and you'll find them. I'll tell you this, if you don't mind doing a little experimenting and tinkering the CE2's will give you all the vapor, taste and th you'll ever want.

But keep in mind please that all this is just my opinion and I'm not saying any of this is what your going to have to do to make them work properly. Okay?
