I need to take apart a stainless ce2. I cant get the tube off the base. I've got it in the battery. I've been (not so gently) wiggling it, tried plier to wiggle, and I'm ready to get violent, but I cant. I need the tube and the base to make a tank. Anybody done this? Any trick to it?
Thanks.

Just tried soaking in boiling water. Didnt work.

A little torch heat, maybe even just from a lighter sometimes helps. I don't do this often, I usually just cut those ones off.

If I were trying to take a SS carto apart, I think I would look for a female threaded bar that would give you a T arrangement for more leverage. Maybe Ace hardware would have a brass fitting with the right fine thread ... or, maybe not. The cartos are pretty delicate fine threads. Just a suggestion.

There's a PRODUCT idea :D Anyone who has the tap and dies for 510, 808s could turn out the Carto Dismantler rather easily

Yep, for $9.99 you not only get the multi-threaded carto dismantler ... we'll throw in the super rubber grip carto holder. You never have to worry about slippery fingers again!

I bought a couple of 7mm X 0.5mm taps for pulling carto connectors. Drill and tap a bar.
but I have never found any application that uses that size hardware.
Has to be something. Looked through gun hardware, electronics, never found an application other than a 510 e-cig.

Anybody run across something? Has to be there.
