I'm not sure if someone already mentioned this mod or not, I vaguely seem to remember it, so I won't take credit for it.

I removed the end cap, gasket, and the cap that fits over the ceramic cup, and filled the clearo by letting the liquid run down the inside of the tube, rather than using a syringe (could have used a syringe, I guess, even with all three seals removed), then instead of putting the cap back over the ceramic cup, I put TWO of the new gaskets in, one on top of the other, and pushed them down against the cup, then replaced the end cap.

Result: Much improved wicking, little or no leaking, much more vapor production, coil doesn't go dry even when hitting it for 10-15 seconds, coil doesn't go dry even when hitting it repeatedly without letting it rest to re-wet.

In combination with a 3ml syringe mod for a tube that doesn't crack, I've got a clearo that performs like a clearo should.

I know this link is to one of my threads but it's along fairly similar lines, possibly easier to fill this way but there's probably not that much in it really. The difference is you lose the 'gaskets' completely, the only thing sealing the carto is a drip tip so you just pull it out, fill and replace.

I've been doing this ever since I wrote this and haven't had any problems at all, it's actually easier and more secure on an R5 than the R4s I used here. No plug (or doughnut) 'mod' for Clearomizers - UK Vapers

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to say it's better than your way, just different, it does take a bit more 'work' to start with..
