New to ECF and first Thread (be nice) but i would just like to ask all the members out there if they like the Ce3's. My first experience with something i could classify as 100% flavour would be a piper tank that leaked like crazy. I really liked the taste and flavour i got off it but i just take the tank out now and drip directly into it to get the same effect, without the leaking issues. It ends up being annoying cause i'm lazy and really like the idea of high volume. So has anyone had any issues with leaking? Any issues with them burning out? I have read that they degrade in quality after 3-4 fills? Am i barking up the wrong tree or would a Smoktech tank be a better solution.
My experience so far has been the Piper tanks, boge cartomizers and extreme vision clearomizers. As a previous analog smoker and working 8-5 getting the coffee breaks to smoke outside and having to vape outside. I find the Clearomizers a bit of a pain to turn upside down and get the juice flowing to "chain vape" to get my nic fix.
Thanks in advance

I am not sure but I think even with all of the CE2 issues, out of those who even use the things, more people were happier with CE2 because you could at least hack them to make them work, replace cracked tubes, etc. IMO Don't expect any of the clear + wick cartos to work consistently without modding or screwing with them.

If you have 450mah+ battery you may want to try a 2ohm Boge type of carto tank.

Get CE2 Ultimates from MyVaporStore.com

Pros:

Tough tubes, no cracking or leaks
Easy to mod
Easy to clean
Good wicks
No condoms (who uses condoms anyway?)
Nice vapor production, heat, flavor, and capacity when using XL's @2.4ohms

Cons:

You'll get a dud once in a while
When juice gets low, you'll have to tilt your carto to get liquid on the upper part of the wicks
If you lose the little ring that is just under the mouth cap, you'll have leaking if you store your carto upside down
Picky with high VG juice, 80/20 PG/VG works fine though
Still need a needle to refill, unless you learn how to properly fill with your bottles (I rather use a syringe/needle, just because it's more of a ritual for me)

I dig the CE2s over the CE3s any day. That said, you'll probably want a cheap atty/refillable cart (one that comes with standard eGo's) for testing juices that you haven't tried yet. There is nothing worse than using crappy liquid in a CE2 and having to tear the damn things apart just to refill them with something else.

You're better off with a CE-2. I tried the CE-3 and right out of the package, killed a brand new battery. They all hit the trash. The CE-2's are decent unless you chainvape, then they need some tinkering to keep up. However, I prefer a cartomizer tank over everything....cheap in price these days, holds a bunch of juice, and provides a consistant hit.

Just a follow up on these. I have had a number of issues. I bought a five pack.

1. The first time I used it, it killed my Riva 510 battery.
2. One of the Smokymizers in the pack totally didn't work. I had to cut the top off to get my liquid back.
3. Another one in the pack didn't have a wick. I didn't want to risk another battery, so again had to cut the top off to get my liquid back
4. They all taste burnt after a few pulls.
5. They all leak liquid into the tip after a few pulls.
6. One came apart when I tried removing it from the battery - It was impossible to get the wick back into the tank. - Again, cut the top off to retrieve wasted liquid.

In conclusion, when they do work, they give good vapour. But out of a 5 pack, three were faulty and one killed my battery. I can't recommend these to anyone they are a truly terrible, fiddly, leaky and pointless product. I find it hard to believe that people are still selling them as they are not worth buying and are rife with problems.

I know this thread is rather old but i just wanted to throw in my 2 cents since im here..It seems like there is no happy medium, ce2 tanks leak like no other, are not in any way ideal for chain vapers and just seemt to be more problematic then they are worth. Ce3's seem to kill anything in sight and carto tanks waste about 5mls of your juice each time you fill it up(only say this because prior to carto tanks 30mls would last me 30 days and now im lucky if i get 15). the vision vivi nova 2 seemed like it could of been an amazing thing and sucks up a LOT less liquid than any carto tank i have ever had/tried but it just flat out doesn't work, its slower to wick than even a ce2(and im vaping it at 3.6v)...someone needs to come up with a happy medium to this and if they do they will be rich i guarantee it.

Side note: Has anybody else found that cartos suck up a whole lot more of their liquid coming from attys to carto tanks?? maybe its just me.

I used CE3s for a long time before I started using Fluxomizers. They leaked, but mostly when they were almost empty. If you notice, the only batteries they "destroyed" were eGo/Riva type batteries. I don't use disposable e-cigs, so I didn't have that problem. I vape 70%+ VG juice and they worked better for that than any of the CE2's I had tried up to then. I found that if they leaked, you could twist the tube a bit and it would stop. They took at least 6 or 7 cleanings before the wick got too frayed to go back into the hole when you put them together again. They had their problems, but up until the Fluxomizers came out, they beat any other clear I tried. And they never tasted like burnt plastic or silicone.

Now, I'm using Vivi Nova V2s. If you are having trouble with those, I don't know what to tell you. They wick plenty fast. Even the short wicks work so well that this chain-vaper never gets a dry hit, even with 70%VG, until it gets below the 0.7ml line AND only if I don't turn it at least horizontal now and then. I just finished a tank a few minutes ago. I got exactly one dry hit and that was because the tank was almost completely dry. I vape heavily and take frequent pulls. But I dont vape with my PV perpendicular to the floor. I vape somewhere between horizontal and 30-45 degrees toward the floor. Just a quick slosh of juice to the wick is always enough to saturate it.

Anyone who says they "flat out don't work" is doing something drastically wrong. The Vivi Nova work better than any carto tank, any atomizer tank or any clearomizer I've ever used. I liked them so much, I ordered 3 more and will re-wick a couple of the heads to address the one flaw they do have. They, like most clearomizers, tend to mute the flavor and throat hit a little bit. I'm hoping cotton wicks will solve that, and I don't know where you can get another rebuildable atomizer with 3 heads for under $15.

Regarding cartos sucking up more liquid, what's the complaint? That's a good thing. That liquid isn't disappearing into a black hole. It's being converted to vapor. If I had a tank or atty that sucked up .5ml per draw, that would be some awesome vapor and certainly nothing to complain about. It's not gas in a fuel tank. It doesn't get blown out of an exhaust pipe or consumed by friction. If it's gone, it's been vaporized and if your PV isn't leaking it, you're vaping it.

Well when it comes to the vivi i honestly cant think of anything that i am doing wrong. i take the top cap off, pour liquid in screw the top back on and vape. The tank is full, the wicks are wet yet there is no flavor other than that acrid taste you get from a bone dry atty and there is no throat hit. Ive disassembled it reassembled it, ive fluffed up the wicks as best i could, ive checked for the wicks being choked, and i am using juice thats 80%pg/20%vg yet no luck. If after all of that its still on me id be amazed.

Reguarding the cartos sucking up the liquid..i wouldn't mind my cartos sucking up that much liquid if it actually put that amount to good use...it seems like every time i take 3 or 4 puffs its doing down a ml and its absurd it shouldn't need that much liquid to keep me from getting a dry hit and its a very costly thing.

Believe me i really really wanted to like the vivi but for me and what seems to be many others it has problems..not just tiny ones but deal breakers and it makes me sad because everything else about it is amazing...it will probably just end up as desk art for me tho. btw i vaped this thing at almost a 90 degree angle and still no go

If you use a carto tank, you're going to be down 1ml or so, depending on the carto size. But it's the same 1ml. If it's actually going down 1/3 or 1/4ml per puff, there's no other place for it to go but in your lungs. If the carto is filled when you fill your tank, it ain't going there. That 1 or 1.5ml is a given. There's always going to be a certain amount left in a carto that you can't vape without burning the filler, but the carto isn't going to suck up any more than the coil is vaporizing.

With the Vivi, all I can think of is that you got a defective head or something. On my units, the higher 2.8ohm seem to work the best, but I've tried the lower ones. In fact, I'm using the 1.8ohm right now on 3.8V. The 2.8 at 4.2V is better, but none of them give me any dry hits at all. They will taste burnt if I crank the voltage up too high though. But it's just a matter of turning it back down.

You're sure you have the V2? Have you turned it upside down for a minute? (It won't leak). I can't see how you'd get an acrid taste if the wick was wet unless your resistance is way lower than what it's supposed to be. That's not out of the question, although when I've metered mine, they've all been 0.3-0.5ohms too high, which is my only other real complaint with them. I dunno. I'm baffled by this. These are the best performing atomizer tanks I've ever seen. All atomizer tanks mute the throat hit a little, but not so severely that it's a big deal. But the dry hit thing makes no sense to me at all. If you are the tinkering type, you might want to rewick them. Cotton wick is supposed to be a huge improvement and it's simple as dirt to do.

I've been using a Phoenix 3ml bottom coil 2.4 ohm and I'm impressed. I got it from GotVapes. It's a sleeved unit with pen clip top to go on my eGo-W/F1. It seems sturdy, handy clear tube with window in sleeve to view juice level. It's got a few quirks.
Need a syringe to fill and must fill slowly, upside down, and don't rush your draw, give it time to wick. feels solid, no leaks so far, nice look, its a tank without wires or wicks. I don't know how long it will last this is my first one. I'm with you, I like some time between fillings.

Well up untill this point i put the vivi nova v2 away and said forget it but all this talk made me curious...i took it out again washed the head and dried the wick completely, stuck it back on my provari and did a dry burn and then filled it up with some BWB instead of halo. i took a puff off of it and it worked flawless. no burnt taste no dry hit just pure virginia with great throat hit and flavor..this is very strange because as far as i know bwb uses quite a bit more vg than halo right? most of halos is 80/20 while bwb is 70/30.from everything i know i would think more vg would cause a problem but its working fairly decent now. every once and a while a nasty taste comes back but its pretty decent all in all . and about the ohms..they are pretty much spot on, checked the 1.8 ohm head and it came in at 1.9

I forgot to put the rubber cap back on top of the atty head and poured half the bottle into my mouth and got some in my eye..im gonna be ok right? lol
