Use a tissue and dab the residue. If it's colourless, it's probably condensation. Happens once in a while. But shouldn't happen each and every time you vape.
If it's the colour of the juice, :
1) Check the cap on top of the wick. Is there a gap when the wicks are wet? Juice will naturally get into the gap and down the post. Solution:Add a wick to close the gap. (This seldom happens for ce5, usually you have to cut a slot/gap to allow more juice to flow)
2) If you leave the device upright all the time, gravity will naturally pull the juice down after some time. Solution:Leave it horizontal.
3) Solution:Use/fire the device horizontally and/or at a higher voltage to burn off excess juice.
From your description, it doesn't sound as if the ce5 is flooded, else you would know (wet, unsatisfying vape).
My best bet would be to use the device horizontally.
Also check the battery post just before you vape so you'll know whether it occurs before or after the vape. It will help to eliminate the possible causes.
