I've been having issues with my Riva's which are both less than 45 days old - the 1100man is newer than my 650s. I was given a great piece of advice:

In your case it does sound like the center post is a little low, you can work it up just a bit and it will make better contact. I have had issues just like this from poor connections both on the charger and the cartos. The only issue I have had with the Rivas came from me screwing them down too tight on the charger and pushing the center post in. Once I figured that out they have worked great.

I have NO clue how to do this. Have tried searching on you tube for an "adjust your center post" video for dummies and no success. Can anybody tell me how to do this? Keep in mind I'm not exactly mechanically or tool oriented - and I'm afraid I'm going to break my Riva's.....I just need to figure out how one goes about doing this. If anyone can help - I'd be really grateful.

If you have a choice adjust the carto rather than the battery.

I use a small dental pick but a paper clip in the center hole of the carto works just fine as well. All you do is insert it about 2mm and pull the contact up just a little bit - first one side and then the other.

If you do have to adjust the battery contact a dental pick works there too - but don't move it too much. It's a lot less expensive to replace a $2 carto than a $20 battery :)

Hey thanks wizard. It's the batts that are the issue - not my cartos. They are blinking weirdly - and each charge - the charge is only lasting about 1-2 hours then dead again. This happens whether charging via my usb hub (which I bypass computer on - it's plugged directly into wall outlet) or by using the wall adapter that came with the kit - also plugged directly into wall outlet. I think it's me putting the attys/cartos on too tightly and quite possibly I've pushed the post on the batt in too far.

Then use a dental pick or a jeweler's screwdriver or something like that to wiggle the post up - first on one side, then the other. You can't raise it up too much, though ;)

LOL!!! Uhhh THIS is why nobody ever made a video on it - so simple a CAVEMAN can do it. :D Used an eyeglass screwdriver! Thanks for having the patience and hope you at least got a smile out of my dilemma! What a nice person!

Just be very gentle while doing all this. I do NOT want to see you post a new thread that says "my riva's button lights up when I push it but it won't charge or vape!" because it would make me sad. You will snap the wire off the solder if you try to yank that disc up more than a smidge, or just plain aren't gentle about it :(

It'll probably get pushed back down once in a while, keep repeating the process. Don't twist, keep your little screwdriver handy next to your favorite liquid, and enjoy yourself.
