Hello I just picked up a RM2 from the classifieds and am having a slight issue. The mod I bought it for does not have an adjustable center post and I can't get the atty to make connection. It works if I put it on another mod with adjustable post but looking at the bottom of the connector the center pin doesn't really stick out. So I am wondering if these posts are adjustable at all? Not sure how the connections are made inside the atty so I don't want to do pulling on the post and ruin it. Thanks for any help.

If you are trying to run it on a RSM the RM2 may not be screwed down sufficiently due to the RSM catch cup diameter. I have seen the RM2 sanded slightly on the brass under the deck for a proper fit on a RSM

That may just work it is sitting right on the top of the catch cup.

Thanks everyone for the replies. Hopefully this will get me running

I am thinking you are right. After getting it working on the mod the pin is sticking out way farther then it should be. I will have to sand down the catch cup a mm or 2 to get this thing just right.

Sounds like your RM2 has the center pin without a slot for adjustment/disassembly
I have one of those too
Had problems adjusting and disassembling this slotless pin and posted about it (#51)

Good Luck, you'll need it

Yes you can adjust it. You need to wedge something in the hole a rat tail file or a triangle file have worked for me

Thanks to both of you for the advice. I was able to adjust the pin out a bit with some tweezers I kinda rammed in there. It is now working on my Cutlass like a charm. Great little atty although I might have to drill out the air hole a bit to get the draw I like. Looks really good IMHO with a tugboat clone driptip as well.

Many find 1/16 is a good size and then there are those go even bigger.

Not to worry. If you botch it you can buy a replacement cap from Rob. You can also purchase the entire Triangle atty - in chrome - this is based on from Empire mods. It won't be a bottom feeder but it's a good source for spare parts.
