I dont know about locally, since obviously i dont live in the same area as you. But ceramic wicks are quite hard to come by unless you carve it yourself.

Frankly, i dont see why you would want to put a ceramic wick in a Nova. An ss mesh wick is plenty good. Ceramic is quite luxurious at this point, and should be used in a Genesis style atty to justify the price.

I'm looking into alternates because I'm using a SS wick. I've been reading a lot of bad stuff about the chromium oxide that I'm most likely inhaling and wanted to look at alternatives. So I've been looking at the braided ceramic and can't really find anything in practice with it.

Not quite the same but something to keep an eye on.

Cermaic/SS nova heads:
Hybrid Ceramic/Mesh Vivi Nova Head (BETA)
Wow. That's just fascinating.

What would be the advantage of this strange hybrid, exactly? Seems like you'd still have all the problems associated with SS, but with the extra added annoyance of something ultra-breakable to worry about . . . or am I missing something crucial here?

Seems interesting. I just bought a hybrid for big bucks which I am disappointed in because I just cant seem to build a good coil and wick. So its just setting in the other room collecting dust while I still use my vivi nova. If these heads work as good as RBA's seem to with a proper set up then I may just have to pick up a nice VV device and get rid of the mechanical hybrid.
