Certain E-Liquids Damaging Aerotank Coil Performance?

Hey guys, I recently bought an Aerotank 2, along with some replacement coils. Everything worked fine, until I started using my liquid from ECBlend in the Aerotank. I used liquid from my local vape shop, and the coils lasted about a week for me with heavy vaping. With the liquid from ECBlend, About two days into a new coil, the ECBlend liquid got really dark, which is fine because I know that's normal. However, the taste started to disappear. Now I taste a bland generic flavor when I vape, and can't taste the original flavor at all. It almost tastes burnt, but not completely. Also, the vapor production has gone down drastically. These are all signs of needing a fresh atomizer, but the one I have is only 2 days old! I attached a picture of what my tank looks like with the dark liquid, and keep in mind the liquid comes out of the bottle completely clear. Thanks for any help guys!

you could probably rinse that coil out really well, let it dry for 24 or more hours and get another day or so from it.
yeah it's toast. toss that burnt juice and start fresh I guess. Keep the watts low on the istick....it's not a good combo with kanger dual coils. I wasted more money on coils than I care to talk about because of that battery.

I use kanger tanks and coils on my istick. I've found it really easy to burn a coil when the istick is freshly charged. It happens more with some flavors than others. I've started using the 1.8ohm coils instead of the 1.5ohm, and I get a lot less burn out, but it hasn't eliminated the issue completely. I find that if I chain vape at all, the tank looses it's flavor, most likely from the overheating of the liquid. For whatever reason, the kangers seem to get hot pretty quickly. I try to keep the istick at 3v to avoid the issue, and I take it easy when the battery is fully charged. You also have to really go slow on a brand new coil, to make sure it's fully wicked. I don't really think the istick and Kanger BDC tanks are well suited for each other. My kanger tanks all work great on my Kanger battery at it's maximum voltage, producing better flavor and just as much vapor as on the istick.

As far as flavors go, I've found that sugary, brown flavors like vapewild Jamaican Me Crazy or similar flavors loose their flavor and mute the coil performance a lot faster than bright fruit flavors like rasberry, lime, or orange... Mint flavors seem nearly impossible to mute, although the sweetness sometimes dissipates if I'm vaping quickly.

I've tried the same flavors in a nautilus mini and egrip, and there is so much more flavor and consistency compared to the kanger coils, when mated to an istick. I've also tried the kanger tanks on an MVP, and thought they performed much better than on the istick, but still not as nice as the egrip. I'm planning on trying a Joytech clearomizer next, either a delta or a ego one 1ohm. I think because they are designed to work at higher wattages, the over powered istick may work better with them than the kanger.
