between here and there
It seems that I can vape away with a kanger t3s with 2.5 coil. However I cannot with a kanger mini pro tank 2. There is always the dry hit even with flavor wicks remove one at a time. The coils for both are 2.5. i have also tried different juices with different makeups. any suggestions?

Dry hits are common when you vape too quickly and the juice doesn't have time to saturate the wicks correctly. Take a couple of pulls from the pt2 and then give it a rest for a couple of mins. It sounds like it isn't keeping up with you. Is the nic content high enough? Can't really 'hot box' ecigs like we can when we smoked.

If you want to chain vape on the Protank, you can start by ditching the silica and switching to cotton :). I have 5 Protank II's that I tend to chain vape on when I'm on the road and the only time I've had an issue is with near 100% VG based juices because it's simply too thick to keep wicking with that much use.

If you switch to cotton and keep 50/50, 60/40 or 70/30 with your PG/VG ratios, you shouldn't run into any issues at all. Across 5 of them, I only run cotton through the coil. No flavor wicks, no need to flame or torch (as you do with silica) etc. The only word of advice, don't torch the cotton or dry burn it. If it's dry, it will disintegrate fast.

Don't drag it like an analog especially if you were a heavy hitter like I was on analogs.

Your sucking the juice from the wick faster than it can re wick. Unlike analogs vaping's nicotine is actually absorbed in the mouth. I still lung hit but its absorbed instantly in the mouth.

You can use Peaches & Cream Cotton Yarn from Walmart or grab Cotton Balls from the cosmetics aisle. I don't know of any vendors that specifically sell cotton wick, it's more of a DIY setup. You would (gently) pull the silica from within the coil head and then (gently) twist cotton through the coils.

You'll want to slightly moisten the end of the cotton your threading through to make sure it goes through easily and then just trim both of the ends down to the size of the silica that was in there before, which is right at the ring.

It sounds complicated, but it's pull, thread and trim. Then prime the cotton by dripping a few drops to get it wet, put the post back on and then screw it back into the base. Let it set 1-2 minutes and vape away.
