I love my chalice 2 with dual 1.5's and AFC... Still tryingvto work out how the increase airflow in the C3, as it is it's barely enough for me
I could use a bit more as well, tried poking at prodding at the internal chamber but that sucker is solid, cannot even get it to spin. I haven't been brave enough to start cutting or drilling. Wish I knew if it was limited by the internal hole or the size of the passage.

I think the limitation is the clearance between the 2 walls, the inside hole is 2mm but that don't mean anything if the clearances between the walls are too tight... my thinking is that the inner cap presses out but I haven't built a jig with 3 studs to press it out yet... I was considering asking mark how these are assembled but I can't imagine there anything but press in, especially since the inner hole lines up different in relation to the outer cap, IE; some are directly opposite the word chalice, some are 90 deg to one side or the other, my thinking is as these are built, each cap is threaded then marked as to where it lines up between the posts, then the inner cap is pressed in to line up correct for that particular atty assy...

the other thing i was thinking that might work for the C3 would be extrude honing, but I think that would cost more to do to each one than the damn things cost in the first place though so the only real option is to take it apart and do a little port work in there... since both of mine flow slightly different from each other I'm thinking theres probably at least some room for improvement, never gonna be a huge flow with the C3 but if I could get it to flow like a true 2mm I think I'd be satisfied

what matters is how the hole lines up between the posts. when a cap is threaded on it won't always line up the same from atty to atty so the airhole has to be placed after the cap is screwed to a stop. the chalice 1 & 2 were probably assembled then marked then drilled and etched for alignment, since the 3 has embossed text that operation was done before hole placement was picked for each assy so the chalice doesn't line up the same as if it as engraved afterwards, instead each is lined up afterwards, which explains them not being consistent to each other, what matters in the inner hole lining up and they couldn't be consistent with the C3 because they were engraved before assy I believe

I've dialed mine in so much, I'm nervous to even try and rebuild on it in fear of loosing what I've got going on. Not to mention the huge snafu I did when I first built it

But I do know, the smaller chamber and tighter draw is DEF my vape bliss. I haven't used anything but the 2 Chalice on my REOs for over a month now. My others are collecting dust.

Are you finding the 1.5 mm's are partailly blocked by the deck of the atty ??

Mine are .055 which is dam close to 1.5mm and the bottom of both I can see the deck pinching off the very bottom.
Thats why I'm considering throwing 2 more say .030 thou holes right above my other 2

Or drilling a bit larger but with the cap on the atty which would also take away the lip of the atty deck ....... don't think I like that idea. Think I'll try the 4 holes on one of my caps today.

When I opened up my holes to 1/16 I used a pointy dremel diamond bit and applied upward pressure to keep the bottom of the hole the same and not get to low.

Maybe time to update your avi pic? :)

LMAO! Yes...was thinking about that yesterday. I did an attempt on an online thingy..epic FAIL. It would have looked awesome, for a 2nd grader. LOLOL. I tried to do what I currently have, changing colors a bit and make the ProVarinati smaller, add REO and it turned into a bunch of squiggles

yeah I think I like FB's idea more than swiss cheesing the chalice, if you have a drill press that would be even easier because you can just center it slightly higher and only open the hole ^up^, for an end result that is not chamfered as much as a bit like that would give though I'd use the pointed bit to recenter the hole and open it up but then ideally finish it off with a straight bit or at least a tiny round file so the hole winds up less chamfered...

mine are both right at the deck but work fine and I'm glad I made a ring to adjust the airflow because 2 X 1.5's wide open can be just a bit too much sometimes, I usually close them down by ~ 1/3 to bring the flavor up to it's peak, wide open it does more vapor but a little less flavorful

Just an fyi to all those who got on the email list for the second batch of the Chalice III. I received my email form Mark's team giving instructions on how to get a unit from the upcoming second release. It showed up in my junk folder so y'all who signed up on the list, be on the look out for it. There is a 3 day window to purchase that starts in a couple of days. Be sure to get your unit so look for the email. Happy vaping my friends. I am stoked. Hats off to Mark and his team. :)
