Hi guys. This seems strange to me. Noticed the Clapton bvc's run pretty hot in my cool fire 4 plus. They are 0.5 ohm and are rated for 35-70 watts. I had one do pretty well for almost a week never going above 40 watts, except It seemed so hot to the touch... Anyway changed it out today and cleaned everything. Couldn't clean this burn or whatever it is off. Is this no good? Should I not use this tank anymore? This sits right above the atomizer head. Thanks in advance.

I tried using a stainless steel innokin coil rated for 20-35 it doesn't taste bad. I only have it at 20 watts. It seems harsher than it used to. But so does my other device. It may just be me having a sore throat.. I dunno. I'm going to try soaking that piece and cleaning again. I just think it's odd because supposedly it's all stainless steel inside..?

Sorry guys I think I figured it out. I went poking around in there with a tweezer to see if I could scrap it off and came up with a silicone washer. However this maybe scares me more. I've been cooking that silicone...?!?
Is the washer still intact? Odds are that's just the residue from your e-liquid. There are some components in e-liquid that don't vaporize, and the leftovers can look like charcoal on your wick and on the inside of your chamber. I'd send you a picture of mine, but I just ran both the tanks I have with me through the ultrasonic cleaner this morning before I re-wicked them.

Who knows, but most manufacturers overstate the wattage on their coils either because they test them under perfect conditions or just lie to sell products to the power vapers.
Personally I just ignore the claims and vape well under what it says on the box. I'm using a coil today rated 10-30 watts. Anything over 16 and I can sense it being too hot. Basically it's an 8-16 watt coil with 50\50 liquid but eleaf don't care, they just want to pretend they have re invented the 'factory' coil so they can sell millions to 20-30 watt vapers. It's pathetic; we should know better than to trust them on anything they say. The TC version burns at 20w (360 deg) it's completely useless for TC.

Send a picture of that!
http://www.amazon.com/Magnasonic-Pr...1459705990&sr=8-3&keywords=ultrasonic+cleaner

I have this particular model, and I'm pretty sure I paid less than that for it. There are a few very similar cleaners, sold under a couple different brands (Isonic, Ultrasonic, Magnasonic) that I'm sure are made in the same factory in China.
Not to drift off topic, but when I buy a new atomizer, it gets taken apart, put in the cleaner with a drop of Dawn and water. I run through three to five cycles (three minutes each, it's an automatic timer), rinse, and air dry. Atomizers in use get two to five, depending on how gunky they are.
And it even works on eyeglasses and jewelry, lol!

So you can clean the kanthal coils with this? Can you put a whole pre-built atomizer head in?

Aging liquids? How does it work?

I put the bottles in the cleaner, fill it up to the fill mark, and turn it on. Sometimes I'll go ahead and take the stopper off. Example: I won a line of Dapper liquids. I don't know what happened, but it seemed like all the bottles smelled the same (on the outside) so there might have been some leaking when they were shipped to the shop. All of the liquid tasted the same, too. And they were all "mediciney". I've let them sit out in the open for about a month now to let whatever was on the outside dissipate. They are getting a few cycles in the cleaner now with the tops off.
Some creamy, custardy type liquids take a few weeks to months to really get the flavors to come into their own. I can knock a month off the aging process just by running them through the cleaner for about half an hour. The ultrasonic action mixes the chemicals in the liquids extremely well.

You could put it in, but I'm not sure how clean it would get it. It will easily take residue off the metal, but it's almost impossible to get it out of the cotton.
