Change display color? ?

Had anyone changed the display color on an evic?

I put the black tube on mine and would like (love) to make the display color red.

From what I have read on the eVic manual, all you can do is "invert" the display from white letters on black to black letters on white.

Unless you know how to take the head unit apart and replace the light source.

I think the eVic uses an OLED display, which makes it a bit trickier as it isn't just backlit with an LED or two.

It IS pretty neutral though, so if you can figure out how to get a red filter in front of it somehow, it might come out all right.

That was exactly my idea...open it up and put some red transparency film between the display and outer lens.
