I'm not sure if this is the right place to put this. If not, please move.

I just got an email from change.org asking me to sign a petition for the FDA to ban the sale of menthol cigarettes. Another "Save the Children" thing.
What type organization is Change.org? I have never heard of it.

Well, they already banned the other flavors. How long was it really going to be before somebody decided to go back for the one exception to the last ban.

Really I think the only reason menthol is currently exempt is because they wanted big tobacco to willingly jump aboard the flavor ban. They loved the idea of getting rid of competition from import cigs.

But naturally nothing is ever enough for the anti-smoking crowd. Each ban is a step closer to their goal.

To quote George Carlin (he has hero status in my books) "Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that."

If you want a good laugh at how people sign petitions like they are being asked for an autograph, go to Youtube and search "petition to ban hydrogen dioxide".

Save the children my ...! If you want to know the truth, follow the money. In Canada they keep raising tobacco taxes to maintain almost $1.4 billion a year in tobacco taxes over and above the health care costs related to smoking.
