Changing amt of posts on page with new layout?

Hi
I read on the old forum layout how to change the amount of posts listed so that there were not 30 pages of replies to go through. I liked that so much more than the original way it was set up.
I cannot figure out how I did it or how to go about changing my settings on the new layout to make this one work the same way. Can anyone help me out please???

There's a setting if you click on "general settings" I have mine set to 10 per page

Btw, you have to scroll through quite a bit of options before you find it.
