I've tried to do a search,but it gave me a headache...

Wondering if you any of you guys have perfected the "swapping of da' juice" procedure?

I'm thinking of changing out my current juice to a more subtle flavor (or maybe a stronger one).

What's the best way to prep the REO for the new juice? Besides changing out the wick in the RM2 have you guys found any easy ways to make the swap?

I've done it once before, but the flavors were pretty similar.....

Would I have to go as far as getting a new tube for esp strong flavors?

Thanks for the thoughts in advance!

If the flavors are very different, and you really don't want to mix them, then you could just try to really clean the tube out as well as changing the wick. I have squirted Everclear (PGA) or vodka through the tube using a syringe to get rid of a really strong flavor. That pretty much does it. If the juice you are using is not too strong, just shoot some water through the tube with a syringe. OR.....just change juices and let them blend for a few hits. I think that if you change the wick and dry burn your coil, you're not going to get that much blending. I never change out tubes. I don't even have any spare tubes. But, I don't mind a little "blur" between juices.

I have.....I just grab one of my other Reos when I want a different flavor. :)

But seriously, two of my Reos have had juice changes. I didn't have a problem with lingering flavors, just the aroma of one juice but no noticeable taste of it. I don't consider my juices to be strong though, not coffee or cinnamon, etc. One of my juices does stain the tube but I don't get any leftover flavor from it. I have plenty of extra tube but have yet to change one.

I do what Jan mentioned, rinse with a syringe through the top of the 510. I inject 99% isopropyl followed by a good rinsing of water. My atties soak I isopropyl, coil & all sometimes (no wick), then 5-10 mins in a heated ultrasonic cleaner. You could probably get it clean with a just good rinsing under warm water.

The areas where I find that need a thorough cleaning is the bottle cap & oring & the 510 connection.

I have been dealing with this over the last couple of days. Going through a bunch of juices now that I have a microcoil and flavor has taken on new meaning. I mostly vape anise stuff, which is notorious for lingering and have had good luck by doing the following:

1. New wick and dry burn the coil
2. Bottle off the tube, blow through the tube into a paper towel on the other side of the drip cup, towards where the atty would normally be.
3. Paper towell or q-tip to get any residual juice out of the cap.

That's it. If you wanted to go nuts you could rinse out the tube and cap, but it's not necessary.

I don't have a Grand/RM2 for every flavor (yet), but do pretty much dedicate the silver vein home Grand to Pluid and DIY Absinthe. In that case, I WANT crossover because I enjoy the period of Pluid-tainted Absinthe--no wick swap, no feed tube clearing, just a bottle swap. I only vape about 1/4 bottle of Pluid at a time, and then only occasionally.

I keep a tobacco flavor in the tumbled commute/work Grand and also don't do much for crossover there either, except to vape near dry, unscrew and pull the old bottle down a bit, and blow in the drip tip with a finger over the RM2 air hole. When I use an occasional bit of Boba's or MoV Apache NET in this Grand, I'll usually rewick afterwards. Mostly it's my lightly flavored DIYs, which I also don't clean or rewick between.

I'm thinking of getting a sealed 510 to 510 adapter for testing juices I'm afraid might be horrible on the REO in a disposible atty, but I have the regulated mod/resistance tester for that.
