changing ohms

I rebuilt my protank using cotton and have been noticing the ohms have been changing any reason for this ?

Could be lose legs also check to see if coil/wick head is screwed in all the way to the base.

just a thought but i know as a mechanic any resistance wire changes ohms when in use such as a lightbulb the temp of the resisted section effects the resistance reading not sure if same happens with a ecig coil but i would think this would make sense if its not changeing like.75 ohms here and there.
