I accidently charged one of my 280mah Mega Auto batteries on my ego charger. Is there a chance this battery is dangerous now? Or would it have fried immediately? Thinking about trashing it if there's any danger. Thanks!
As long as it's still working, you should be good. Most of the charging dangers happen while charging. It wouldn't have made it dangerous. But yeah, while you can charge an ego on a 510 charger (just takes longer), you shouldn't charge a 510 on an ego charger. But if it works, you're golden.
You may also want to look into buying a lamp timer. The kind with all the levers you push down for how long you want the device to stay on for. I set mine to about 6 hours, so that after that time, it kills power to the outlet, not allowing it to overcharge. You can get them for about $5. Worth the price IMO
eGo chargers all put out 450mAh I believe, which is probably a bit too much for little mini batteries.
But like everyone else said, if something was going to happen odds are it would have while charging, as that's when the added stress was applied to the battery. It should be find, I wouldn't do it again though.
