Charger/batteries making a very high pitched sound?

What is this? I took the batteries off the charger for now. The batteries are AW IMR 16340s and the charger i s a TrustFire TR001

My TR001 does that too. It's always when I've drained the batteries too low that it happens. It's annoying but doesn't seem to hurt anything. Although, when it does happen I put the batteries on my other charger.

This isn't faint, though. It started out faint a few weeks ago - but now it's so loud that it's actually painful. It's not that it's LOUD, it's just the frequency it is hurts. I hear it over my music I was listening to, too.

So, it's safe to charge on it, then?

I get that sound(like a dog whistle) when the batteries are done charging or there aren't batteries it it while plugged in. It doesn't do it every time but I heard it the first time when I started vaping and bought this charger(tr-001). I haven't had any problems in over a year.

Hehe. All this time I thought it was the batteries making the sound. I have the tr-001, too. Some batts do it and others don't. Wierd.

I too have the tr-001 and it makes the sound. Not loud, but high pitched. But for me, it only makes that sound when I put in 'freshly drained' batteries. As the batteries charge, the sound dissapears/gets softer. I assumed it was the 'rush of energy' going into the batteries. After about 2 hours on the charger it all but gone, but normally takes almost 6 hours to charge my AW 18650's.

My other 'generic' charger doesn't make that sound.

I don't think it hurts anything.. just a cheep charger..
